Snowshoeing
des. 2016 • Venner
A group of us friends went out snowshoeing this year. The trail was well established as far as I went up, but some of my friends that went really far up said the trail was a bit lost in the deeper snow. It was a very good workout, a bit more than I bargained for! I would like to go back in the summer.

fun
jun. 2015 • Familie
always a fun day, first time dog was injured and we had to turn back because his bandages got soaked, 2nd time we got out late on a Friday and got stuck in a hail storm haha so we had to bunker down for a good hour and lost our last bit of day light we ended up camping out and in the morning the girls were soaked tired and grumpy so we turned back this was back in 2013 but the last time i went out we spent the better part of a Saturday (aprox 5hrs) and it went pretty well. i recommend it for couples, families with active children or teens, and friends... possibly solo

Un parc sauvage
sep.

Great Climbing Adventure
aug. 2015 • Forretning
We did this hike as a family with little to no notice to prepare. Our hike was in late September and we faced every kind of weather stream. It started off sunny and hot, we then had some light rain (albeit the forest protected us) and then SNOW at the summit. Yep, it was a shock. We threw our backpacks down the slope and slid on our rain jackets, making it like a toboggan. The trail was well marked but not perfect, there were a few times we had to search for the markers. There are supposedly 3 cabins in the area for hikers but we only found one that day. Our hiking adventure was about 5 hours from start to finish and by the time we got back to the parking lot it was sunny all over again. This is NOT steep, just a nice gentle push uphill with good terrain. No need for ropes!

Great rec area for hiking and backpacking!
jul. 2015 • Alene
This is a really good area for hiking and backpacking. There are two cabins, one on the Grizzly Den trail (actually there are two on the Griz trail but one is only a short distance in) and one on the Raven lake trail that are available to use if you need. I have hiked and packed the Raven Lake, Sugarbowl, Grizzly Den and Viking Ridge Trails, each is unique and all are awesome! My last trip, in July was Viking Ridge, it never fails to impress me! There is a beautiful little lake just before ascending the upper ridge trails. One warning, it is almost impossible to find the trail down the East end of the ridge so be cautious - I usually come down the center or on the West side where I ascend from.
There are too many options available for hiking here to list them, but all the details can be found in the main local area hiking guide.

Grizzly Den hike: A beautiful hike, quite the work out! Recommend an overnight trip!

A beautiful 9km hike across rivers, through alpines and up the mountain to get a priceless view of your surroundings. There are two cabins located along the trail which are available for overnight trips!
