To begin with Jeff and the staff where excellent happy and friendly! The course was
beautiful and challenging with amazing views. Then to top it all off my wife lost the
cover off her putter. I called later and it had been returned to the club house that is
when Jeff said he was coming to Cranbrook and he would bring it with him and he
delivered right to my house WOW!

Beautiful terrain. Course is challenging and requires a lot of walking even if you take a cart. Carts are old, gas powered and difficult to drive. Staff are friendly. Clubhouse is simple and retro.

Staff (and Jeff and Laurie in particular) are very, very friendly at Redstone. The course is challenging but not overwhelming. Definitely beautiful. The only drawback are the facilities. When driving up to the course you're on a dirt parking lot see small, older buildings where the small pro shop is located. The restaurant serves wonderful food bu again, small area but very friendly staff.

I have now done 2 golf trips through the Kootenays and have played about 25 courses in the region over the last couple years. I stopped at this course last year but didn't play it. I decided to put it on the tour this year. This course was just OK for me and I would not go back again. The course was not in terrible shape, but it wasn't great either. I thought the green fees (relatively speaking to the other 20 something courses I payed in the area) was overpriced and nowhere near the value of other courses I played. If you have lots of time on your trip you could have a play. If you are tight for time and can only fit in a few of the many courses in the region I would look at others before this one.

Pros:
- I had an 7:30 tee time. Nowhere in town was open to get a coffee and the restaurant at the course was not open yet so one of the staff was kind enough to make a coffee for me

Cons:
- I booked stay and play through the place I stayed in Rossland. It included a cart and some range balls. This is very clearly advertised on the web site of the place where I stayed. When I checked in for golf both staff members were not aware of the deal and did not offer me the cart and range balls straight away. I had to explain the deal to them and mentioned it's right on the web site. Seems very strange to me that both staff members were not aware of the local stay and play deals.
- the golf carts seemed like they were in pretty rough shape. The one I had was probably the worst I've ever had
- personally I think there is much better value golf elsewhere in the Kootenays. I paid about $70 for AM game including cart. I played courses that were in much better condition all through out the Kootenays for much less

Challenging in beautiful shape, wonderful staff, great beer on tap and we pretty much did not feel rushed at all.

Played 18 holes here. First nine are very manageable, back nine is much harder - recommend using a cart as it is hilly. Had dinner afterwards in the restaurant and 5he food was excellent, the waitress Rosie was also very good - friendly and attentive when needed. Would highly recommend this place for food and golf

I have played here at least once a year for the last 5 years. The course is challenging but playable for a high handicapper like me. The meals at the restaurant are very good and service overall is commendable

Wow. What a wonderful place. We arrived on Wednesday not sure if we would stop or not. We got such a wonderful welcome we stayed over night and golfed nine holes the next morning. Noel the golf pro was amazing. The restaurant serves one of the best steak sandwiches I have had. Collin our course guide was so warm a friendly that he put two “hackers”. At comfort right away. If I could give more praise I would. The waitress in the restaurant was awesome. Please do your self a favour and try out Redstone. You won’t be disappointed!!

Game booked at RedStone GC in Rossland BC, after hearing about the course from others who had played there. All of which had positive comments and a good experience at this facility. We were three couples and the Wives played together and the Guys as two threesomes. Varied skill levels from beginner to seasoned.

Upon arriving at the Scenic Mountain Course and checking in, the Head Pro Noel came outside and provided an outstanding commentary. Noel gave us run down on on what to expect and how to play the course as well as a bit of history about the facility. His enthusiasm added greatly to the experience and interest in playing this course. ( we will be back!)

The course was in great condition and well maintained. The bunkers were all raked and the sand was consistent. The backdrop being in the mountains was spectacular. A day of mixed sun and cloud. Lots of elevation changes on the course with challenging but fair golf holes. Speed of play was excellent and due to the layout you were not in danger of being hit from other fairways.

The course has a history and been around sine the early 1920’s and the log clubhouse is still being utilized. It also has an old structure located by the 10 Tee that was frequented by people using the old Dewdney Trail back in the early days of British Columbia.

After a great day on the course we ate dinner in the Clubhouse Restaurant. The food and service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and easy to speak with. She had a wealth of information about the historic communities of Rossland and Trail, BC. There is skiing and mountain biking in the area as well as many other thing to do.

Worth the visit and will be back again! Hidden Gem!
