We all enjoyed this more than expected. It was a beautiful day and the rapids are very powerful! Nature lovers will appreciate!
Beware there are not many options close by for food. We ate at IHOP across the street - food and service were great but pretty pricey.

Best value at the falls we thought! Well worth the walk and not a hard walk at all. Even disabled friendly! Highly recommended!

What a great opportunity get get up close and personal with some class 6 rapids. We loved that the walk was at your own pace and the boardwalk was in very good shape. There were plenty of opportunities for picture taking and you definitely don't need to be a professional hiker to enjoy the trail.

Walk right next to this powerful river ! It’s very cool ! Enjoyed it. Get tickets on line to avoid lines there. Spaced out for Covid on elevators.

Stopped here when driving back to Niagara Falls from NOTL. We have been to the area before, and were looking for new things to do. Came upon this, and decided to do it. It was a great time, and one of the highlights of a very enjoyable day. They bring you down by elevator to beside the Niagara River between the Falls and the Whirlpool, with approximately 100m of boardwalk to travel at your leisure while you watch the "class 6 rapids" (so they say, I'm sure they're right) come barrelling down the river from the Falls. It's really quite spectacular. We saw families/people with strollers and walkers, and while they seemed to be able to navigate the boardwalk with little difficulty there are places where you can go down a few stairs to get even closer and I'm not sure those with mobility challenges would be able to do that. We particularly appreciated the attention the attraction paid to making sure everyone was wearing a mask in the appropriate locations.

If you are looking for something extra to do during your trip to Niagara Falls, this is a nice, quick excursion. The boardwalk is scenic and you walk parallel with the rapids.

Fantastic hike and swim!
Parking is affordable and there was the odd spot available.
The hike down was great, we enjoy trails that aren't boring gravel like so many are these days. There are multiple routes so that made for some exploration both going down and back up.
There are river side areas that say no swimming and it's probably best to take that advice.. for the most part.
There are spots you can go in the water and be fine. JUST BE CARFUL! I'm a strong swimmer but the rip currant is VERY strong and you can get sucked up stream and out into the rapids. Holding on to a large rock I could feel the water below pulling me upstream very hard. It's a strange feeling to see rapids a few feet away going down stream, but you're being pulled up.
The water was way warmer then expected and I could stay in that water for hours and not be cold.
There is a little lagoon area off to the side, but even in there the whirlpools are very strong and will move you around quicker then you expect.
We took the jet boat last year as was told full size trees can be sucked down there and get stuck for days or weeks! So it's most definitely not something you want to just jump into.
Be careful and smart but it's nice to get in the water.

Do you have to take the elevator down to the walk, or is there another way?

I do not know of another way to access the White Water Walk. The elevator is definitely the easiest, quickest, and safest way.

We have a 3 year-old son, he's very active and loves hiking.
- Is this White Water Walk safe enough for a 3 year-old?
- how about the 4 activities of the Fun Pass? Are they all age suitable and safe for him? (I know the boat ride is, we did it today ^_^.)
Thank you.

There are railings or horizontal rail fencing the whole way but I do not recall exactly how wide the openings are, so maybe a 3-year old left unattended might crawl through, but if you watch him, hold his hand, tie a lead to him, it would seem safe. Outside the rails, off the paved railed in walk is certainly not safe for even the best swimmers - rarely would anyone survive who falls in.

Is there parking closeby?

Yes there is parking directly across the street with restrooms too. We took the bus but used the restrooms after the walk.

What if I go with my portable suitcase? Is there somewhere to leave my luggage?

You may ask if your suitcase can be left behind the desk, but I don’t recall lockers being on site.

Is the elevator the only way to the walk?
Is there a stairs option?

Is there much climbing or stairs? Would it be possible for handicapped people.

There is an elevator that takes you down from the street level to the Rapids. Somewhat limited to how far you can go on the deck walk along the water, if in a wheel chair. Is a free to use the elevator so why not go down and experience the best you can.
