I went for a massage over the holidays. I removed my Fitbit watch before my massage and placed it in my jacket pocket. This was the last I saw of the FitBit watch. I returned to the Zen Wellness Spa as soon as I noticed that the watch was missing and shortly before the spa closed at 8:00pm. To my surprise, the fully-charged FitBit watch connected and synchronized with my iPhone while in the spa. Staff humored me with a fruitless search for the missing watch despite the FitBit watch being on the premises AND with a strong Bluetooth connection to my iPhone the entire time. I returned to the spa in the morning and couldn’t reestablish a connection with the FitBit again. CONCLUSION - the watch had been removed from the spa between closing time and the morning spa opening (there were two employees present at closing). The owner, Heather Buckle, feigned concern over email about the missing property and that a search had been undertaken. However, she did make it quite clear that it was my fault and even went as far as to even invent a story about it falling out of my pocket in the parking lot while “empathizing” about how unfortunate this was for me. BOTTOM LINE: I would not recommend a spa like this that, at best, doesn’t respect people’s personal property and, at worst, is complicit to THEFT.

I just had an amazing, unwinding massage done by Luis. He listened to my issues and addressed them accordingly. The massage relieved my stress and pain. I am very grateful. I am already booked for next week.

Stressed instead of getting de-stressed after my massage. The therapist seemed like he was holding his cough and having difficulty breathing. Later the receptionist explained that he was not sick but had Tourette Syndrome which causes tics (repeated throat clearing, sniffing). With the whole Covid-19 situation, it would have been best to disclose that information prior to the massage therapy.

I understood that it wouldn’t be a normal spa experience because of the restrictions currently in place (no robes etc. which I don’t really get because towels and sheets are being used but ok) and was just happy to be there for my birthday. I was told to wait and “browse” because the lounge was closed due to Covid protocols. I was five mins early for my appointments(facial and pedicure) so I proceeded to wait and be patient. I stood around for 25 mins before I was called in for my facial. I did not fill out any forms (which is fine) nor was asked for my vaccination status. It was also SUPER busy and a lot of people “browsing” prior to their appointments made for tight social distancing. The facial was fine. I was allowed to go to the lounge between appointments though. Although there may’ve been (at most) 25 choices of polish in this random, disheveled cupboard, the best part of the whole experience was that the pedicure esthetician did a good job and was very friendly. Overall, I had high expectations and left quite disappointed.

I cannot begin to express how disappointed I am with my experience at Zenbar. I took my husband there for his birthday and we enjoyed a lovely half day experience, paid our bill and left. A couple of days later, I noticed a considerable charge from Zenbar on my credit card bill. I called the company and was informed that they had made a mistake when cashing out my bill and had subsequently charged my card for the difference. No one called, emailed or sent me a text to inform me of this charge or to ask for my consent. After expressing my displeasure with the sales associate, she apologized, offered to credit my card for the amount and assured me that my card information would be removed from their system and that I would not be charged in the future. As promised, I received the credit, however a few days later, I noticed that the company had charged my card again without my consent. I called back to discuss the charge and the sales associate was not only rude and dismissive but she hung up the phone on me twice. I am currently fighting to get my money back and will be lodging a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario for violation of privacy. Furthermore, I have yet to receive any assurance that they will not continue to charge my card. I have been to many spas over the years and this is the WORST that I have ever encountered, I will NEVER do business with these people again.

I am a frequent spa goer and had a variety of treatments so look for spas that go beyond the typical Swedish massages and esthetic treatments. Zenbar has a salt cave, healing pods, and has invested in some of the latest technology for body and esthetic treatments. I tried their LPG endermologie treatment which is a skin conditioning treatment - though it can be performed by a RMT or non-RMT therapist but everyone is specifically trained on the equipment. You strip down then put on a body suit -- for a bigger guy like me not the easiest thing to put on but it did fit fine and was comfortable when on. You lie on the table face down at first (and since in the pandemic had mask on as did the therapist Renee. She was very professional and explained the procedure and its benefits -- fat reduction, increased blood and lymphatic flow, better metabolism, etc. Usually you would book a few sessions to receive the maximum benefit. Next treatment was a one-hour hydrafacial. Pam the medical esthetician was very detailed before starting the treatment and explained the entire procedure. Rather than using her hands to apply the various serums, conditioners, boosters, etc. it was done with a painless instrument. Extractions especially were painless unlike the traditional way. It's more of feel of a tiny suction cup. The spa is 6,000 sq. feet so boutique size and located in a plaza off close to the highway (QEW & Trafalgar). Very friendly reception and you can do your client questionnaire/COVID pre-check online. Better spa retail section than most offering skin care but also other items like masks and gifts. Staff are friendly and professional. There are locker rooms but the time of my visit and with COVID restrictions were not used. They do have a bathroom if you need to use. Rooms are clean and spacious.

Manicure shellac was very mediocre. Was a nice space but it was done poorly. Not a clean job for the price paid. Very overpriced. And took way too long.

Hi everyone - I'm here writing you on this spa because honestly it's disgraceful how they can still be in business.
A few months ago I booked a pedicure with them and had to make a last min appointment because thats what life is with a new baby and toddler. I made the appointment and not even 24 hours later my toddler got sick and I had to cancel.
They hadn't told me that if I cancelled I would loose the entire amount I paid. When I called to see if they could make an exception they bascially chalked it down to call when the manager is in she can help you out.
But get this - they don't have a manager on site she works from home which means that she has no direct contact with customers to know what's really going on.
Long story short they were extremely rude - offered me a $20 credit for a $100 pedicure and didn't even apologize. Just said there was nothing they could do.
I went to write a review about them and even contacted the owner to see if she could help.
She seemed pleasant enough but her response was that i need to remove my reviews of her company before she can even help me.
My response was I can adjust my review once I know how she can help me. She said her team flagged my reviews as being "inappropriate". She never responded back to me btw.
The response I get on my reviews from her staff is that I was "phsyically and verbally abusive" straight up LIES. I DIDN'T EVEN GO TO THE SPA I CALLED THEM OVER THE PHONE. I mean come on did you really have to make up a story to make my review not credible enough for the online community. It's such a shame I'm actually really upset over this because not only did they accuse me of something I NEVER did but even started picking on me in their response. I mean I've never dealt with a company so callous.
Anyways - just stay clear of this spa. Apart from the worst customer service you'll ever get their spa is small - shared change rooms with the guys and is gloomy on the inside. The rooms are really tiny and your basically paying a lot for not getting much.
They can seriously keep the money they stole from me...after their volatile comments to my review and lack of professionalism...I really want nothing to do with them. They should actually be ashamed of themselves.

I have had the privilege of 2 massages at this venue and I am so impressed! When you arrive and walk into this beautiful place, you notice your shoulders drop, and your body begin to relax. I was escorted to the locker area where I got given my dressing gown and flip flops! Neat and clean change rooms with showers.... I moved through to the calming zone, a lovely space with beautiful jugs of water and dimmed lighting and loads of seating. A perfect place to set the tone for my next full 60 minutes with Anthony.
Antony is super professional, attentive and very well versed with his profession. He also understands yoga - which helps me specifically. I have left with amazing tips to assist with areas that need attention going forward on both occasions. This is the first time I have found someone that I can look at seeing long term.

What kind of amenities does the spa have? Showers? Hair dryers? If I have dinner plans after my treatments, can I shower, do my hair, etc without having to bring my entire bathroom with me? 😊

They have showers and I think 🤔 hairdryers as well but call them to make sure about hairdryer.
