Lots to see and do here. A nice beach, lots of trails, mini golf, and a pool. If you are planning to use the pool plan to be there early as it fills up fast. Lots of picturesque sights. Definitely something to see if you are in the area.

This Campground was really easy to find however the campground is massive we found that we were lost several times and couldn't get back to our Loop which was elmview and we were camped in E18. You need to be prepared in this Campground for a lot of ticks. We tried to be careful and Shake our clothes and check but there were always two or three in the bed at night it was so disturbing. The site's vary in what they are like E19 accross and E 20 just two doors down same side as ours would have been more private. Ours had a hill that we climb that we climbed up on top of for a nice view just down the hill is the swimming pool shower building and the beach which is very tiny with lots of green algae and the water is very green it is not appealing for swimming at all. Some of the campsites in this Loop where in the wide open. There were flush toilets close with no running hot water. The wood is located near the park entrance best to get it before you go to your campsite or it's a long Trek back. Both the wood buckets were broken bring gloves. It was also extremely muddy difficult to park to get close to the wood. There is a good store in this Campground because between diefenbaker and buffalo pound we had trouble finding stores. You need to be prepared for wind as well in this Campground. We drove up to the Buffalo range it was really awesome and we hiked part way up the hill in nickoll flats. we also walked the boardwalk it was totally awesome too. We would return to this campsite people were respectful and we were assured at the gate that if people were breaking the rules like they did at Diefenbaker lake where the campers had a party across from us that something would be down about it.

If you enjoy strolling along grassy trails among hills and meadows, you would like the Nicolle Flats Interpretive Area. Traveling north on highway 301, follow the signs directing you east toward the Nicolle Flats Homestead. This will take you to the east end of the park where you will find a free parking lot and a surprisingly clean outhouse to start your adventure. There were lots of saskatoons ripe along the path (3rd week in July) with various look-out points of the marsh and the lake. We walked for about 40 minutes and got about halfway to the buffalo paddocks (but you might walk faster). This was definitely the highlight of my time at Buffalo Pound.

The beach at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park is very small, and the water was a revolting green colour. However, there are lots of picnic tables and areas to set up folding chairs to sit by the water (which looks blue from a distance) and relax.

This could be a fun place if you had kids, because they have a playground, a pool, and mini golf, and kids usually don't care about the colour of the water.

If you're more into being inspired by prairie landscapes and birds, I would skip the main park and focus on the Nicolle Flats Interpretive Area.

We camped for a weekend here and would have loved to stay longer! The mountain bike trails are absolutely amazing and probably the best in Saskatchewan. We have biked and run and hiked for hours and still haven't done all of the trails. There is a challenge for everyone. We did an amazing race with our family put on by the park and it was so fun and creative. The beach was good and the campsites were private and quiet. Beautiful views too.

The water looks like pea soup. The beach was absolutely disgusting with feathers and poop everywhere. The beach hasn’t been cleaned in days. It stunk so bad we had to leave

Our family with children aged between 8-12 years enjoyed our night here. The highlight was the mountain biking area. We would recommend this park!

We stayed 2 nights in the Valley loop at Buffalo Provincial Park. It's a really great campground. Even when it's packed with people for a long weekend the sites were fairly private, our site was tucked into the base of the hill. The beach is small but nice and sandy. There is lots of activities to do like canoe & kayak rentals, mini golf, axe throwing, playground, etc. My one recommendation is bring cash especially if your in the loops by the boat launch area, the store with the atm is a long walk away in the next camping area if your in a motorhome like we were. Lol!
We really enjoyed our time there and will be back again in the future!

The sites are wide enough, with free firewood, and a short walk to the lake. Free showers, nice mini golf. Boat rental and launch close by as well.

Did some hiking here. The trails are not very challenging but interesting. Lots of up and down hills, some flat prairie sections, great views of the lake in some portions, perhaps too much for little kids.

This is a very nice provincial park that is well maintained by friendly and efficient staff. As a Saskatchewan resident and a senior I appreciate the free annual park pass.
