With a board walk in many directions on top of dense mangroves, and a boat trip to the confluence of the river & the sea, Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary is an interesting option for exploration of nature!

We drove down to this place a few minutes out of Kakinada. You may miss the entrance as google maps points earlier than the actual road going there. Still not a challenge as there is a board around the entrance to point it out.
We walked in reading about various fauna, river cats etc which we did not see. We headed straight to the boating ahead of the crowds following us. Got a large boat to ourselves and navigated to amazing views from the boats with backwaters emerging from a series of forest land merging into the sea on both sides. Good to see the sights and a few migrant birds who have homed in there. Out on the see found some unique deep see fishing nets.
Next out of boats we took onto a walk on wooden walkways made on stilts onto the mangroves. Relaxing walk in the greens. We climbed up the watch tower for a bird eye view of an ocean made of Mangrove tree tops. Don’t miss this for anything
Wound up in a couple of hours. The food places are run down eateries so better not to plan food there.
Worth a visit once for sure. Could have rated 5 but fir the missing facilities which can make this into a great tourist place

This is a mangrove forest and it is not a typical forest. We have to walk on the elevated platform made with wooden blocks as the soil beneath it always wet and in the form of mud. There is boat trip available from this forest and into the ocean which is also amazing.
If you know the importance of mangrove forest you would enjoy it even better.
There are small eateries inside but you can safely ignore.
No plastic bottle or covers are allowed inside. Better you leave them in your vehicle before stepping into it.
I don't know the best time to visit this place but we visited during December (Christmas time) and the view and weather is so good. But we didn't find any birds at that time.

Disappointed that there were no animals or birds in wildlife sanctuary, however it was very peaceful and nice walk. The river front is beautiful. Recommend for one visit.

This is not a wildlife sanctuary, but a place with good greenery and pleasentness.

Coring Wildlife sanctuary near Kakinada is a very good spot. Presently Boating services are suspended by AP tourism. However there are certain attractions like wooden bridges and one glass bridge. Here the swings and rope walking etc are maintained well. Seeing the benches and dustbins also made from the tree trunks and wood available naturally was a very good experience.
While going there, I followed google instructions and had to go through a narrow path, where it would have been a problem if two cars have to cross. However on reaching there, we could see the new wide road and came back through the new wide road.
Eatables are available in the canteen and some Ice cream vendors were also there. There is a souvenir shop, but nothing great is available.
Closing time is 17:00 hrs.
Place has a different charm and you get the real feel of the place when you walk on the wooden bridges over the swamp area.
Only one problem faced; ltos of mosquito bites in the evening.
A must visit place in one's lifetime!

We Visited today this wild life sanctuary, situated on NH 216 Kakinada Yanam highway,
The Entrance was smooth, proper parking place, few restaurants within the premises,
But unfortunately boating was not available due to some accidents in papikonduli, few months back,
But boats are not properly maintained and perhaps the boat trip will be awesome as it will take you to feel the mangrove region,
We thoroughly enjoyed this sanctuary though access was limited,
