Very nice temple followed by hot spring beside Bramhapur station. Govt is doing modernisation in this place so nature will go away soon. Ladies place for bath is very dirty

Taptapani(meaning tapta-pani or boiling water) is a hot spring and temple complex situated in the eastern ghats on the highway from Berhampur to Chandragiri. It is quite crowded with devotees and tourists most of the time. There is a deer park nearby as well. As it is situated on the road to jirang and khasada waterfall, hence can be included in a weekend trip or a tour.

Filthy 10 feet square pool surrounded by plastic empty bottles, chips discarded bags, RUBBISH everywhere and an insult to whichever god the Mandir is dedicated to. And I have been coming to India for 43 years and not much that I haven’t seen. A Shame

Small temple with hot springs.Hot tubs are not clean as some people use soap even after restrictions.

The sulphur springs are natural wonders and could be promoted well but are.not because the the facilities available are rudimentary. The enclosure for women is diapilated and locals wash using soap.and make it filthy
The local pandit can be persuaded to.empty the tank and let it refill but that only makes it.marginally better

Nice place with temple and hot spring place which is 92 km from Daringbadi and 225 km from Bhubaneswer. There are two bath kund for male and female. The ambiance is nice and near by a good place that is Panthanivas , Taptapani. It is requested to visit the Panthanivas which is 300 miters from the Hot Spring. Near hot spring there is 20/- parking charge. You can take the gilms of pilgrims after that take lunch at Panthanivas. It is recommended to place order at Panthanivas and come and visit the place Taptapani.

This December we started our journey from Brahmapur railway station around 8 in the morning and reached the OTDC resort after a beautiful drive of 2 hours. We checked in the hotel the rooms clean and most of them has nice view. After that we went to see taptapani temple. I actually had a bath in the hot spring gave the dear park a miss and had a great lunch at resort. Service was a bit slow. After that we went to see kasada waterfalls and Buddhist monastery. Next morning we started early visited a waterfalls and reached the famed Daringbadi late in the afternoon. We took rest that day as it was more than 200 Km detour. Next day we did the local site seen and had our camp fire. We stayed at Eco resort, alternatively one stay at forest bungalow but all other options are at market area. Next day we started early and visited Taratarini temple while on our way to Rambha. We checked into OTDC cottage there had lunch and went for boat ride. Always book boats with life jackets in them. Next and last day of our vacation we started after breakfast and visited Olive ridley breeding ground (one of very few places in the world ) and the ruins of a old fort near Jaysree chemical. We had lunch at Gopalpur sea beach and boarded our train from Brahmapur in the Evening.
Tips: don't miss Taratarini and turle hatchery.

A hot water sping wihich is dirty, a temple as is the norm with these kind of placces in India, a deer park hosting some barking deers, couple of Sambars and plenty of spotted deers.

The location is built around a hot sulphur spring and given religious sentinels being associated to lord Shiva. This has allowed the spring to remain clean. But the arrangement around the spring for people to take a dip is unhygienic. The system around the place to park your vehicle and shop are poorly developed. A decent option around for food is the govt restaurant at panthinivas which serves average food at low costs..
People having inclination for nature must visit this place being in middle of a thick forest..
