The 4 of us had a great day. It was my partners birthday present to see a highland coo and all the animals. I loved the meerkats. The restaurant was excellent with a good choice 👌 but... what made it for us all was the falconry display, it was brilliant and the guy doing it was a star 🌟

We love coming to Tattershall farm when stay, there is lots to do for younger children and recommended for all too. Fairly priced.
Great to see and feed the animals.
A selection of outdoor and indoor play areas.
Ideal on a rainy day simply for the indoor play areas.

The other day I spontaneously took my toddler to this park as only down the road...
Was shocked to pay £10.95 for my ticket.
Assumed it was down to recent price rises as I had forgot my phone at home so wasn't able to check what was going on & didn't want to spoil the day by raising this with staff.
So when checked the website at home it turns out that if not booking online customers like myself can find themselves being "punished" for not preplanning their day & just trying to enjoy their lives like pre covid normal as the government is now encouraging us to do.
This booking system may have encouraged more customers to enjoy & visit venues during the pandemic but for young families this is not ideal as we often are unable to plan in advance. Many things can go wrong with children & it is really down to their mood / naps / sudden illness etc what we do with them on a nice day. Often deciding once we got in the car.
Having to preplan everything or having a smartphone with us all the time making sure the battery won't die is now becoming a chore.
Despite popular belief not everyone is on the internet on their phone all the time...
Also some of us prefer to use cash so as a customer paying with cash my money seems to be less appreciated than someone else's paying online by card. This is ridiculously discriminative.
Any places that prioritise online bookings / slot bookings with my family we are consciously avoiding just like many people we are friends with as this is difficult with young children also makes life less enjoyable.

What an amazing place you have here. We took my niece here for the Easter egg hunt and she had the best day. The staff were so friendly and clearly enjoyed working there. We had lunch in the cafe and it was delicious. There was quite a long wait however we didn't mind when the food came it was lovely and fresh. Soft play area is such good value for money as you don't have to play any extra for that. Plenty of hand washing facilities and hand sanitizer stations for after you have fed all the gorgeous animals that all seem very cared for. (food extra). Just a lovely day out and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Was very disappointed with the easter egg hunt was told by a member off staff that eggs where hidden every session only to be later told they wasn't but they was????
I did try complaining on the day and was fobbed off
Not very good communication
They post a photo of Facebook but you can't actually have or take ( due to weather but wasn't Imformed on day !)
The activities for the Easter hunt wasn't very well explained
Wouldn't pay the extra for the event in future kids won't be missing out on much
There has been very little reply since complaining
Wouldn't recommend paying extra for activities on special occasions

Oh dear...
I am compelled to respond because the content of this review is unfair and NOT true. This review is from the person that wanted their whole trip refunding and I refused. This lady did complained on the day because they'd been watching to see where our uniformed team hid the golden eggs. Naturally we don't have our team in uniform hiding eggs, instead we go incognito. Otherwise it's just not a fair process if a visitor watches us hide the golden eggs. I also find it strange that a grown up would want to rob a child of their chance of legitimately finding the hidden golden eggs by trying to cheat in some way by watching our team hide them.
If I take the points one by one
Communication on the day was explicit. All visitors that booked online received a booking confirmation as follows:
'Thank you for choosing to visit Tattershall Farm Park for our Great Big Easter Egg Hunt.
The Easter Bunny and his friends have missed seeing your smiling faces over the last couple of years, and are really excited to meet up with you all again.
If you have selected an 'Easter Activities' ticket, then included is the Easter Egg Hunt, Chocolate Egg and other activities. Our Easter Egg hunt takes place outside, in all weathers, so please remember to wear suitable outdoor clothing.
We open at 10am, and you can arrive at any time, and are free to spend all day with us.
Great Big Easter Egg Hunt Activities
Follow the Easter Egg trail around our farm, solve the clues and collect your prize Easter Cake prize on the way out.
Keep you eyes peeled for golden eggs, there are a handful hidden around the farm each day by Easter Bunny and his friends. Find a golden egg and exchange this on the way out for an egg-stra special treat!
Our Egg Hunt takes place each day between 12.15 and 13.15 near our Eco Area / Falconry Flying Area. You'll collect your very own Chocolate Egg from Bunny's Hut once you have filled the egg box we give you with coloured eggs. (We're recycling the egg boxes so please take care of them for us!).
Head to Bunny's Hut for the Craft Sessions at 11.00am - 12.00pm, or again at 13.20 - 14.00pm
General Information and Frequently Asked Questions
If you have opted for our standard entry without the Easter Hunt upgrade then your ticket is for entry to our Farm. Included in standard Farm Park entry are our Falconry Flying Displays (weather dependent) at 11.30am and 1.15pm, where each session showcases a different group of birds.
We accept both cash and card, and have a licenced Bistro where our full menu is available and we offer table service. We have another cafe (in our Play Barn) serving hot and cold drinks, ice creams, sandwiches and paninis. On busy days our Snack Hatch is open, serving hot and cold take away food and drink.
Assistance Dogs are welcome at our Farm, but all other pets must be left at home.
We close at 5pm, and last entry to our Farm Park is 4pm. If you want to meet the Easter Bunny you will need to be by Bunny's Hut between 12.15pm and 13.15pm or else you will miss out on all the fun!
Here are your booking details, please bring this confirmation with you on the day'
On the day, all visitors were greeted by a member of our team, and given an egg box, a magic pencil and an Easter Trail clue sheet [on the bottom of each clue sheet was a reminder of what activities were running, how they would work and timings]. The Easter Trail sheet was given to each child that had paid the £5 extra for activities - when the quiz sheet was handed back in the magic pencil was exchanged for an Easter Cake. Visitors were also shown an example of the golden eggs that were hidden.
I personally launched each and every one of the 72 Egg Hunts (4 a day) that took place on the farm. I stood in front of each group, with a microphone, and used the PA system in our Falconry Flying arena, and as well as the 'Bunny Workout' I explained exactly how the egg hunt would work, where to claim the Easter Cake, where to exchange the golden egg (should you be lucky enough to find one), where the Craft Session was taking place and where to exchange the coloured plastic eggs for your chocolate egg. I then led the group, skipping to the gate where the plastic eggs were hidden.
Weather at the start of April, weather was turbulent, we had hail storms on the first 3 - 4 days and it was really windy and freezing, BUT we had contingency plans for different weather conditions. In the Facebook posts/ photos taken earlier in the holidays, the photos with the Easter Bunny (which were taken by parents / grown ups) were taken inside Bunny's Hut. This worked well, but as the weather changed to be baking hot 22C on Good Friday, we moved the photos (and the choosing of the eggs) outside.
Here is our reason (and this has been explained in depth to the person that wrote this review). Up until Good Friday we were giving out circa 100 chocolate eggs. We'd noticed that the choosing of the eggs was causing a bottle neck, and a queue. On Good Friday visitor numbers were record breaking and we had almost twice as many eggs to hand out. We have little ones ourselves, and understand families don't want to queue for more than 30 minutes with young children in hot weather to get a photo with the Easter Bunny, instead they'd rather be off exploring our farm, finishing the Easter Trail, on our jumping pillows and our play areas etc. By moving the egg choosing, and the photos outside and splitting the 2 processes, we avoided ANY queues. Even on our record breaking days (when the weather was also beautiful)
Photo opportunities on ultra busy hot days were outside our beautifully decorated wooden Bunny's Hut, rather than inside.
On another note, our Easter Bunny is 77 years old, so we need to look after him. As the Easter Bunny's helper I was wearing a wooly hat, bunny's ears etc and was painfully aware how hot he would be inside his wooly costume. Even young people inside Mascot costumes need a break every 40 minutes to prevent them overheating. So, inside the bunny's head, our helper was literally melting.
By taking the photo opportunity outside, we had NO queues, no visitors over heating and no melting Easter Bunny....
This lady was 'upset' that by allowing photos outside, other people that maybe hadn't paid £5 for the extra activities and for the Easter egg hunt could maybe have snuck in and got a photo.
Just for context:
£5 Easter Activities included:
Easter Trail - with Easter Cake Prize
Easter Keepsake Craft activity
Easter Bunny Workout session
Easter egg hunt - With 135gram (medium sized) Cadbury / Nestle boxed Easter egg
Chance to claim an Easter toy if you found one of the 'rare' golden eggs
I have given a comprehensive reply to this lady both on the day and on Facebook messenger, and I refused her request for a full refund for her day for the following reasons:
a) her child had done the Easter Trail and eaten the cake
b) they'd done the craft
c) they'd taken part in the Bunny's workout and claimed the chocolate egg
d) they had the opportunity to look for (but not found the rare, hidden golden egg)
The photo opportunity (inside or out) were equally beautiful, and in my opinion this person just wanted to complain and have a free day out and her complain was unjustified.

Drive there some of the road is like driving on rubble and only one car fits so hopefully you won’t meet any other cars or like me a tractor as it’s difficult to pull in!
Not wheelchair friendly as they say! It nearly killed me pushing him on rough paths! The staff were all friendly and the animals are lovely, we enjoyed feeding them and petting them. The other massive downside was that we waited over an hour for tasteless overpriced food, cost me just over £38 for two burgers and a kids meal which they forgot the drink I had to ask for it. The tables were all dirty and staff I saw rolling their eyes when anyone complained which there was quite a few. When our food finally came it was lukewarm and tasteless and definitely not worth the price ! This ruined the day for us. Then to the gift shop where we were been over charged luckily I caught on and queried it was been charged a lot more for what I bought.
Sadly after been recommended to go there I wouldn’t go back or recommend it to any friends travelling to that area.

Apologies for the wait in our cafe, and for the error in our gift shop. I don't know the background to how you were overcharged as we scan items when they are bought to the till. I'm just glad we rectified it before you left and apologise for the inconvenience.
Our aim is to get food in our Bistro out to our customers within 20 minutes and a one hour wait is outside our usual service standards. Like lots of businesses during March and April we've had an issue with staff shortages due to covid 19, and some of our experienced team members were unable to work due to having covid symptoms. Thankfully everyone is ok, but its been tough navigating extra busy days with a depleted team and very new starters.
On very busy days (your visit was on a really lovely sunny day during Easter school holidays) there can be a wait as our food is made to order, but we do try and tell you at the point of placing your order.
We have recently introduced QR code ordering, and at the time of your visit we didn't have a way to communicate to those people ordering 'online' of wait times. We have rectified this since and have placed a message on the food option that updates on current wait times.
We can also offer a 'buzzer' and give you the opportunity to go and explore the farm while we prepare your food, and call you back when it is ready.
We do have an alternative cafe in our Soft Play that served 'faster food' like traditional oven baked jacket potatoes, nachos, and panini as well as childrens sandwich meals and cakes and bakes, and we also had our 'snack hatch' open for take-away hot and cold drinks too.
On the day you visited, as well as having people off with covid, we also had new starters being trained for their first shift (we have just trained 14 new staff to join our food and beverage team). During their training process hey are buddied up with a front of house mentor, and now (1 week on from your visit) have almost completed their training - so I'm sure that rather than rolling eyes, it was probably more a case of a look of 'rabbits in the headlights'. Our team usually get compliments for how friendly they are, and I hope should you decide to visit us again you would have a totally different experience in our Bistro

As far as I recall, NO - though perhaps there is an exception for guide dogs. Best thing is to ring them and ask for definitive answer.

I have a terrible phobia of snakes, which means I cannot even look at them in a newspaper, tv or go into a room where they may be. This phobia has stopped me visiting friends who have them as pets. Will I haveto encounter any at the Farm?

you can bring your own food into the park but you can't eat in it in the entertainment/sports complex as there is a restaurant in there selling a selection of very nice but slightly expensive food from breakfasts to evening meals.
