The fairies have gone away long ago

This was a huge disappointment. Very worn narrow roads on the way up with rocks continuously falling from above and a landslide wiped out 200 meters that had to be tentatively crossed on foot. The pony ride up was good but don’t expect adjustable stirrups. The two major disappointments were the amount of rubbish littering the track especially around the rest points. And the worse was arriving at the Meadows to find the fairies long gone, displaced by a random assortment of chalet huts and “hotels” that completely covered the imagined pristine Alpine meadow.
On the plus side and the reason to do to was the superb view of Nanga Parbat and it’s roaring glacial river.
If you are looking for peace and serenity don’t go.

Nanga Parbat

Auch wenn es im April noch etwas kalt war, hat sich der Ausflug gelohnt. Zuerst ging es 1,5h Stunden eine Schrotterpiste nach oben - immer am Abhang entlang. Wie viel ein Auto kostet, können wir leider nicht sagen, da wir eine Tour durch Pakistan gebucht hatten.
Danach geht es zu Fuß weiter. Die großen Rucksäcke wurden von Pferden transportiert. Bezhalt wurde der Transport pro Kilo. Wir haben gute 2,5h für den Aufstieg gebraucht. War doch anstrengender als gedacht. Begleitet wurden wir die ganze Zeit von einem "Polizisten". Gegen Nachmittag bezogen wir unsere rustikale Holzhütte, die mit einem Ofen ausgestattet war. Warmes Wasser hatte wir nicht. Wir hatten ohnehin nur Wasser aus einem extra Hahn zum Eimer füllen. die Toilettenspülung ging auch nicht. Aber die Saison hatte auch noch nicht angefangen. In der Saison sind manchmal bis zu 600 Leute dort. Gut, dass wir eher dort waren und die Ruhe genißen konnten.
Abends haben wir in einer urigen Küche Abendbrot gegessen und es uns danach vor unserem Ofen gemütlich gemacht. Früh konnten wir den Blick direkt auf den Nanga Parbat beim Frühstück genießen. Wir sind an einem Tag noch zum Beyal Camp gelaufen. Tatsächlich konnten wir noch eine Lawine beobachten. Leider trübte sich der Himmel und am nächsten morgen beim Abstieg hat es geschneit.
Das Personal war sehr nett.

Fazit: Muss man gesehen haben.

Beautiful landscapes! The 4x4 was a old jeep model that could traverse a more challenging trail than the Toyata cars so I highly recommend booking that vehicle. Great experience.The scenery was spectacular

Miejsce rzeczywiście bajkowe . .

To mój główny cel wyjazdu do Pakistanu. Jedynie pogoda była pod znakiem zapytania .Ponieważ dopisała rewelacyjnie to cały pobyt z dwoma noclegami na Fairy Medows okazał się doskonały .Drewniana zabudowa w otoczeniu wspaniałej przyrody i z widokami na niesamowite góry. Możliwość trekkingów czy spacerów w zależności od kondycji i sympatyczni ludzie wokół. Prawdziwy raj dla miłośników przyrody i fotografowania. Zaliczam się zdecydowanie do tych pierwszych . Podejście do bazy wyprawowej na Nanga Parbat wymagało sporo wysiłku .Oglądanie lodowca Raikot i kolorowych łąk było wystarczającą nagrodą . Noclegi w drewnianych domkach zapewniały maksymalny ,jak na tutejsze warunki , komfort . Nawet to ,że ciepła woda była dostępna w łazience tylko w określonych porach zupełnie nie przeszkadzało .Pozytywne zmęczenie i czyste , górskie powietrze zapewniały bardzo dobry sen . No i do tego tak sprzyjająca pogoda . Śniadania były raczej skromne . Dla mnie [ i nie tylko ] wspaniała była tutejsza owsianka a dla innych ryż na mleku , jako podstawa śniadania . No i wieczorne ognisko . Będzie co wspominać. Niestety i tu spalają śmieci , to jak na razie jedyny minus . Nie wiem kiedy to miejsce straci swój urok bo tempo zabudowy jest coraz większe ? Śpieszcie się więc z przyjazdem tutaj . Wybierając się tu pamiętajcie o zabraniu rożnych ciuchów. Na ciepłą i zimną pogodę , coś przeciwdeszczowego i PODSTAWA odpowiednie obuwie .

Simple yet effective entertainment.( Telescope area for star gazers and to look at nanga parbat closer..
And a few swings to enjoy and relax..

Я обязательно хочу вернуться ещё и летом, говорят здесь рай для горного хайкинга

这里的景色令人叹为观止！我们远远地就能看到它，它是那么令人着迷！，因此能够好好看看它，但是那里有个危险区，于是我们只到了尽可能靠近的区域。一边拍了很多照片。操作相机一定要动作快，因为好时机可能几秒钟就会消失。有好几处地方可以拍照对于想来参观的游客而言不可错过。

Fairy Meadows (Land Of Fairies) Read before going

I visited Fairy Meadows on 30th of June to 2nd of July 2021 with my guests/clients. I have already visited many times with my clients but at this time the jeep trek was good as compare to past.
From Tatto Village where the trek starts , accord to my suggestion those people who haven't any experience of hiking or heart or Asthma patients should hire horse (pony). Because it is not easy to go up on horse it takes near about 3 hours. If any one who is bulky and having more weight tha 120kg he should avoid to go there because those horses (pony) can't carry them
Especially pregnant women also avoid to go there or a person with back problem. You should take umbrella 🌂/rain coat and hiking stick with yourself. Hiking stick is very helpful when you come down. It is the 2nd dangerous trek in the world. You can watch that trek on my YouTube channel "Incredible Pakistan" i have uploaded video there of that trek. From Faity Meadows there is another trek of Bayal camp, from there you can go to view point of Nanga Parbat and from there you can go to base camp of Nanga Parbat.
If you want to ask any question you can get my number from my channel and can ask without any hesitation.
The last but not least as we all know that after a every hardest climb there is a beautiful view. Same is here but if the weather is on your side.

I give it 5 star because you wont come across many places that would match Fairy Meadows in natural beauty, serenity and grandeur.
However, when you talk about the availability and management of facilities in the area, there is a lot that needs to be done. Hotels are very basic and their is little effort to keep the place clean. With more visitors every year, Fairy Meadows is being polluted at a rapid rate.
To reach Fairy Meadows, you will have to take a jeep from Raikot Bridge. The track leading to Tattu villlage gets quite narrow after a while and one would need services of an expert driver. After an hour's drive the jeep track will end around a km ahead of Tattu village and from there on, one will have to walk on foot. Another 1.5 to 3 hours walk (depending on the ftiness level), one reahes the fairy land..... a place as beautiful and serine as you can imagine. When in Fairy Meadow, you will get a great view of majestic Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world. Flowing down from the Nanga Parbat massif is the Raikot Glacier which is eroneously written as Rakhiot Glacier on most maps including google map.
Average height of Fairy Meadow is 10800 ft. Even in summers, it gets quite cold at night. Raikot Sarai and Fairy Meadow Cottages are two good hotels in Fairy Meadow though there are few more hotels / cottages of lower standard.
Visiting Nanga Parbat base camp at 13500 ft, Beyal Camp at 11600 and trekking along Raikot Glacier and on the surrounding hills are the activities that one must undertake when in Fairy Meadow. When on Nanga Parbat base camp, dont forget to pay tribute on the graves of Alfred Drexel and Karl Unterkircher, the two great mountaineers who lost their lives while attempting the killer mountain.
You must go to Fairy Meadows with proper gear inclusing shoes (most important), clothing, first aid and utility kits. It is going to be one outing that you won't forget for years.
