We went with three young boys (aged10). The guides were so friendly and approachable and explained a lot to the boys using hands on examples. Would highly recommend!

Spent ages talking to the HAM Radio chap here in the National Radio Centre. Wonderful. Just wonderful.

A couple of radio hams and a collection of equipment but the talk given by one of them was really interesting. Explained about short wave radio and the role played by amateurs during WWII.

This isn’t our first visit, but it was as enjoyable and entertaining as if it was. The staff here are so knowledgeable and passionate about something that on the face of it so many of us take for granted. Make sure to talk to the folks in the GB3RS radio station, it’s honestly one of the things that keeps us coming back to Bletchleytime after time despite it being a 2 hour drive from home.

Nicely put together by knowledgable enthusiasts. The displays are quite good and tell a story well. The radio room is a bit disappointing, though - I'd hoped to see and hear an actual conversation with someone over the radio - that is, radio communication in action - but that didn't happen. They downloaded some telemetry data from a satellite, which was quite interesting. The volunteers there, although knowledgable, had to be pumped a bit to get them going. Once one showed them some interest they were away, but it took a bit of questining to get them there. I went twice, on two days, and once I realised how they work I was able to go back with a raft of questins - and that made it SO much better as a learning experience. Still didn't see radio communications in action, though. Show an interest and have some questions ready and you'll have a great hour or so talking to them.

The very enthusiastic volunteers provided an insight into how the teams at Bletchley Park obtained information during the second world war using radio hams on HF radios. Good range of equipment to see and remember from the past.

Part of the Bletchley Park centre. Manned by knowledgeable volunteers. It was very interesting to hear how we communicate with the rest of the world. I remember seeing this 22 years ago on my first visit to Bletchley Park.

Part of Bletchley Park and well worth a visit when its open. Good knowledgeable volunteers and interesting to see radios through the years. The Amateur radio set up was fascinating and the gentleman telling us all about his conversations with the rest of the world was very informative. They seemed so grateful that people visited them as I don't think they get loads of people stopping by.

The National Radio Centre is part of the Bletchley Park Experience. This centre is worth a visit and the volunteers are excellent plus are full of information. Although the centre is small but is packed with information.
