This is understandably the most popular part of the Discovery Tour so it can become very crowded. We waited for a while and visited another part of the tour and when we returned it was noticeably less busy. We were fortunate that visibility was clear, allowing us to see the landscape at its best. It is very cold here (-6 when we visited), so do dress appropriately.

斯芬克斯天文台 Jungfraujoch Sphinx Observatory 是到少女峰一定要去的一個觀景平台，平時在這裡可以遠眺阿雷奇冰川，只是我們2024年5月27日來時，這裡一片白茫茫，我們只能拍照留念，有些遺憾。

From Eigergletscher Station at an altitude of 2,320m, we changed to the Jungfrau Railway and headed to Jungfraujoch (3,454m above sea level), the highest station in Europe. From Jungfraujoch Station, we went up to the Sphinx Observatory at 3,571m, the Top of Europe. I saw a Chinese woman in high heels, but it was amazing that she could climb up there without any mountain climbing equipment. We were supposed to see the magnificent view of Jungfrau on the right, Mönch on the left, and the Aletsch Glacier flowing between them, but we couldn't see anything because of the gas and strong winds! What bad luck. For one week during this tour, the Swiss Alps were covered by a low pressure system, so we couldn't see Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, or our last hope, the Jungfrau. It's such a shame to have come all the way here.

They don't tell you everything is closed during to weather until you reach the top. What a waste of money $100+ per person. Check the weather before you go. If it's cloudy or windy do not go.

This is one part of the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe attraction. In the circuit they have in this area, this is one of the segments, where you have to take an elevator up to the observatory. From there, you'll see the view of the Aletsch Glacier and the beautiful snowcapped mountains of the Bernese Alps.
I went during the opening time and so couldn't gauge the crowd situation accurately, but at my time, it wasn't crowded at all.

Once the Jungfraujoch train arrived the Jungfraujoch peak, it leaded us towards the Sphinx Observatory. Underneath the Observatory, there were also other attractions like the Alpine Sensation, Ice Palace, Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven...etc.
We entered the lift which ascended 108m to the top in just 25 sec. Once we arrived, we headed straight up the stairs and queued for the pictures with the Top of Europe sign like every body did.
We didn't come on a good day as it was heavily snowed with strong wind. We couldn't see the UNESCO World Heritage Great Alestch Glacier, neither the Jungfrau, Monch nor Eiger peaks as it was just all white out there when we arrived. We were very disappointed but we always knew there was a risk if we came in May. Nevertheless, the observatory deck itself was great. We did take picture with the "Crushed Landing on You" sign. We also went onto the plateau to take pictures with the Swiss flags and rolled ourselves on the snow under the heavy snow and strong wind. It was an unforgettable experience but still gutted that we didn't see what we planned for the whole year. Afterall, it's not cheap (CHF 160.60) with our Swiss Travel Passes. (without discount was CHF 214).

What an awesome and amazing experience to be here in the land of "whites"! It's a wonderful and great feeling that unless you are here, one will not be able to feel the power and beauty of our mother's nature!
Everywhere you see from here are all in white, i.e. mountains and lands covered by snow! And if you think Mt Titlis is already very tall and cold, you are wrong! This is even higher and colder.
After riding on the train that brings us here, we are in the land of snow or ice and everything we see, touch and feel, especially those who come from the tropical countries, it's really stunning!
It's cold though not as cold as we have expected, you can choose to stay indoors to enjoy the scenery or go outside to experience the snow yourself. For some, you may feel suffocated due to the lack of oxygen and if so, quickly go into the building but if possible, try at least to walk a while and experience the "once in a lifetime" snow tracking experience, seeing your footprints! Go slow and speak slow, you should be fine!

Die Veranstalter müssten sich wirklich eine Zutrittsbeschränkung ausdenken. So lohnt sich der Ausflug auf die Terrasse nicht.

Dear Giadan146, you can catch the train starting from the Interlaken Ost. It then passes through Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen and Wengen. So it's up to you which way you'd like to head up to the Top of Europe.

Portugues: Estou planejando ir com meu marido e minha filha para Interlaken em março. Estamos querendo fazer o passeio para Top of Europe. Li em vários artigos na internet que bilhetes do corcovado dão 50% de desconto no passeio para Jungfrau ou Top of Europe, é verdade isso mesmo?
Em 2018 ainda é valida esse desconto?
Meus bilhetes foram usados em novembro de 2017, valem até novembro de 2018 para fins de desconto? Estarão validos para março de 2018?
