Avoid due to being overrun by rude Asian tourists that push everyone to else and hog the picture spots. Jungfraujoch is being marketed to Asian tourists due to the new Gondala and high price. It was 90% Asian tourists at this attraction. I have been to China and other parts of Asia, so I know that they push and don't care about other people. I expected that in China, but not Switzerland. This was my worst experience in Switzerland.
It was a beautiful day and I decided to go up using the Good Morning pass (even though I had seen the blog recommening to skip it due to overcrowding). I thought I would get there before the mass tour groups. I arrived at 9am using the train from Wengen. The Ice Palace has a sheet of ice on the ground with a sturdy railing. It was slippery, but I wore hiking shoes and have experience walking on ice living in Illinois. In the Ice Palace a Chinese tour group whipped through. Near the exit I was standing to the side holding the railing. One of them pushed me from behind without warning. I fell. They didn’t even stop and continued on. It was crazy. I bruised a rib (which still hurts three weeks later), hurt my elbow, ad slammed my face on the ice. No staff was around to help me if I had broken a bone. I was able to get myself up and out and rested on a bench to catch my breath. I am lucky that I am young.
I told an information person and she just shrugged her shoulders. This place is worse than Disneyland even at 9am. It is also seriously understaffed and overcrowded. The snow play areas were also a sheet of ice due to the number of tourists and have no railings for safety. People were slipping around and falling.
The staff is mostly young people from neighboring counties. I only saw one medical person tending to a person with altitude sickness. I have no idea how I would have gotten help since it is a long walk back from the Ice Palace to the main area if you are hurt. There are no emergency phones or other safety equipment.
The views were beautiful but it’s not worth it. Someone is going to get seriously injured from the people that push as part of their culture. I talked to other travelers and they said they saw lots of people falling in the Ice Palace. I visited the Glacier Palace at the Matterhorn and it was far superior since you are in a real glacier. They also had rubber mats on the floor to make the floor safer. Also, there were only a few tour groups.

Super cool experience at the top of Jungfrau. It only takes 15 min. Worth going while you're at the top. Sneakers, jeans and a winter jacket are all you need to stay warm at the top and in the ice caves.

Ice Palace Jungfraujoch 是少女峰齒軌火車終點站旁的一個景點，這個外面終年積雪，位於冰河下30公尺，由人工鑿成的山洞，裡面雖不大，但有陳列一些冰雕可以欣賞，這裡很冷地面很滑，走路要小心，免費參觀，值得走一趟。

An ice palace built 30m below the Aletsch Glacier in the Jungfrau. A transparent ice tunnel where you can see layered ice walls and crevasses. Of course, it's all natural ice, so be careful not to fall as it's slippery. If you walk around the ice corridor, you'll find fantastic illuminations and ice sculptures, creating a wealth of attractions unique to this place. However, it does help to ease the disappointment that we couldn't see either the Jungfrau or the Aletsch Glacier due to the gas and strong winds. I'm sure it would have been even more enjoyable after seeing the spectacular view of the Alps.

The Ice Palace at Jungfraujoch was a grand exhibition of ice sculptures and carvings. It was most thrilling because the palace was a creation under the Aletsch glacier and had a long history in its creation. It had several corridors with ice sculptures and dimly lit with coloured lights making it soothing to the eye. The floor was rather slippery and we had to walk cautiously. Sculpture of pianist playing a grand piano was excellent. What a fascinating feeling of being there.

This is one of the segments in the Jungfraujoch circuit, and in this section, you enter via a sliding door to insulate the exhibit from the rest of the circuit. There are also stairs if you want to wish to bypass it. This area hosted wonderful displays of ice sculptures, and you can also pose in front of them.
During our time we saw a maintenance worker hauling ice blocks so that was interesting to see. But overall, just be mindful of the steps because it is quite slippery. Walking through the ice tunnel was an experience!

Not to be missed and loved. Extremely safe and exciting. An ice tunnel, between sculptures and magic.

After our visit to Titlis' Ice Palace last year, I was so looking forward to come to Jungfraujoch's Ice Palace hence I heard so much praises about it.
The tunnel inside Jungfraujoch's Ice Palace was much longer & complex than the Titlis' one, it also has more ice sculptures & displays comparing to Titlis'. I really appreciated with the efforts for the builders to build the Palace and sculptures too. However, for some reasons, I didn't enjoy it as much as at Titlis' Ice Palace, maybe it's due to the fact that I didn't like the white lights inside, or maybe I was a bit catastrophic, or maybe I had already been to one so had too high expectation beforehand?
Having said that, my wife loved it & had a great time, which it all matters to me at the end.

Great experience! But older people should beware as it is quite slippery. There are rails, however, to hold.

We visited mid February but as far as we are aware it is open all year round. Definitely make time to visit , use the handrail initially just to get your balance and then you should be fine, just take your time. Enjoy.

I have a little problem with balance but would love to visit, are there handrails to hold on to throughout the whole route through the caves

There are handrails mostly but some areas are not covered it is a little slippy but its worth attempting it ,as it really is something to see and if you are in suitable footwear with a proper tred and perhaps someones arm to steady you just on the sections with no rails

take the train to the end, top of the jungfrau. get off, follow the masses of people and the signs that say "tour" There is no person giving a tour, it's is just signs leading you through different places.First it will take you outside, then it will take you to the ice palace.
