Unfortunately the giant cedars boardwalk had been damaged so the area was closed. Hope it’s fixed soon. The washrooms were very clean and useable.

Helaas is deze boardwalk gesloten. Je kunt wel stoppen bij de parkeerplaats voor een korte pauze en toilet.
Unfortunately the boardwalk is closed. You can stop for a break and the washroom.

We did go to the site but it was closed. i am not sure if it was for repairs or the it was too wet. it didn't say why it was closed or when it might open in the future.

After Hemlock Grove, we also decided to stop in at Giant Cedars Boardwalk for another excursion along the highway. Unlike Hemlock, this is a stairway walk (not for strollers) but it is pretty gentle on the knees and suitable for toddlers who can do stairs. Should take around 20 minutes and is worth the stop.

Stopped in here for a quick walk and to stretch our legs. The boardwalk is so easy to walk on and is very well maintained. You'll see some amazing giant cedar trees. It's hard to imagine just how old they are. This doesn't take long and is so well worth the stop.

Great trail! It is all a boardwalk so it was easy to walk on, Very quick trail too, maybe 20-30min to walk the whole thing. The trees were so so cool to see, we were really looking forward to seeing them and they did not disappoint. We went mid morning and it was not very busy which was nice. It is a looped trail as well which was nice.

Short walk among the Giants. Nice place to stop and get out and stretch the legs. Need a park pass to stop. Dog friendly. 👍🏻👍🏻

We did this walk 5 years ago and came back to do it again and we were not disappointed! Both my teenage son and my pre-teen daughter were in awe for the 15 minutes we spent there. The other one sat in the car. LOL

Hi. Do we have to book in advance to visit the Giant Cedars Boardwalk trail? If yes, which site please? If not, where do we pay? Thanks much in advance for your reply and have a good one!

I plan on stopping in with my dogs on the way home. Is this safe to do solo with my two dogs? Worried about bears if it's not busy?

It is a boardwalk so shouldnt have wildlife problems. I'd keep the dogs on a leash though unless your dogs have good recall.

Is there parking for trucks pulling a camper trailer?
Peter W

Yes. Its a circular pull in so no worries about driving out again. RV's have plenty of space as do coaches. Parking might be a bit limited in peak hours but you can always drive through then on. Have a look on google maps. Be aware you can be charged a small fee if you dont have a national parks pass.
Are dogs allowed on the trails?!
Thank you.

Hello,
can you visit this place before or after hours? We are planning to leave Revelstoke around 5-6AM and want to visit this on our way to Jasper. Can we leave the car there and visit the park?

I think Parks Canada has specific hours that they may enforce but if you have the daily visitor pass for the National Parks and
you parked at the entrance, it's a very short walk to the trail.
The trail takes about 20 minutes so you could probably enjoy
an early morning walk in a spectacular setting before anyone would be the wiser. That said, you may want to check with Parks Canada or the actual site for more guidance.

Keep in mind this attraction is probably closed until late spring due to snow. You are supposed to have a national park pass or you pay the day fee which is about $20 if the park staff are manning the station. If they are not there it is free. because there is no way to pay while you are at the attraction. Great spot for a 1/2 to 1 hour stop or great place to have a lunch picnic. Big trees and beautiful forest.
