Great place to kayak and watching birds
Hardly anyone here. This area is so much warmer and less busy than Kananaskis or Banff this time of year. There is a very short hike from the campground. Great prairie views. The only noise you hear are birds, no traffic. It’s close to Drumheller for day trip. Good beach (Cource sand) for kids to play on. Definitely worth checking out. Just so you know only pit toilets and bring your own water.

Stumbled upon this little gem way out off the beaten path. We had some time to kill after dinner and headed off to see what was around Drumheller. I was sad to see that you could not swim in the lake however that added to the tranquility of this spot. It seems to be a great spot if you want to get away from the rat race and just have a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature. Sad to see this beauty on the closures list for this year but glad I got to see this. -Dan and Alanna

Had not been since fall and it was nice to see the lake water level had risen more. It would be nice to see the lake restocked with perch as in the past. Having a cabin on the secluded lake is to enjoy a nice peaceful and quiet time.

This place is as haunted and creepy as Hell. We went 2 times and left in the middle of the night. Strange noises, animals sniffing your head through your tent then disappearing, etc. Sounds like fun?
We visited in August of 2011.

We love Little Fish Lake and often go there to picnic or just to pitch a tent, close to home and away from the crowds. Often we are the only ones there. The facilities -- tent sites, pit toilets, and pruned trees planted like an orchard (does anyone know what they are?) -- are always well kept. The drive to and from the site is spectacular rolling prairie and deep coulees. The Park is a bird sanctuary for the piper plover and we feel privileged to be able to camp there at all. The reviewers who say that there is "NOTHING to do" are absolutely right. That's the plus! Just wind, sky, and prairie for miles. Not even a power pole to break up the vista. Little Fish Lake is the most restful Alberta/National Park in Alberta and I hope it stays that way. If you have an RV and watch TV, please don't go there. Btw, I gave it four stars instead of five because the boat launch is damaged and one of the signs is faded. Other than that, pure prairie beauty.

Great camping for the family as well as great fishing , its tucked nicely in the prairies, this reservoir, with a sandy beach and boat launch

If you're looking for a quite place to camp for a couple of days...without a bunch of drunken boors keeping you up all night...this is it.
Definitely not for the person who can't go 15 minutes without checking their email or their smartphone to find out where the nearest visitor 'atrtaction' is.
If you've read Thoreau's 'Walden Pond' and can identify with it...this is the place for you.

A long drive down a gravel roads to come to a small, contaminated (?) lake that you just can't enjoy. You cannot get down into the lake either. There is a pretty little campground, but if you were hoping to get to, or in, the water, you won't be able to here.
