This part of PEI is home to all things potato, so visiting this museum is pretty much a must-do. There are many interesting facts to learn and short videos to watch. The gift shop is well stocked, the the on-site cafe sells the best hand-cut fries! Interesting for adults and kids and certainly worthwhile.

As a die-hard potato addict I have been waiting to visit this museum with great anticipation and it did not disappoint! Educational. Informative. Interesting. Well organized for a learning and visually friendly experience. Loved it! And the potato dishes in the restaurant were the perfect ending! Delicious!

An absolute benefit to all who can appreciate the changes in farm equipment from years ago and to today. See the changes in their museum which brought back many memories of what we had when I was a child. Incredible. The restaurant is great offering many podado recipes. They like to say PODADO’S!! Stayed for over an hour. Thank you.

A very well done, quite interesting from an industry and agriculture point of view all in the historical and current times presentation. A guess what duh, potato themed restaurant is available and worth enjoying the offering.

Potato Curious?
The operative word here is exhaustive.
While the lame, undersized "giant" fiberglass potato at the entrance does not fill one with confidence, by the time you're done the spirit quails at what the board might do to themselves should a single potato-related question be unanswered.
Its presence here is a bit of a head scratcher. Sure PEI grows a lot of potatoes, but not that many in the big scheme of things, and there's no blue berry museum that I could find.
Everything, and I mean everything, you might want to know about all things spuds is presented here at a reasonable price.
There's even a restaurant which almost exclusively serves potatoes, although they are all full of the chemicals and pesticides which keep them shapely as no organic options are offered.
There's even a whole family fee to keep the costs down.
There's a fine community and a farm implement museum attached that's thrown into the bargain, both with many fascinating items on display.
You'll find yourself explaining the use of the phonograph to your kids, or how you had to get up and change the channel on the Philco for your mom. And you'll rediscover that before petroleum, farming was hard damn work.
The only thing lacking is a 5 story fake potato.
Once you are inside, you will be diced, sliced, and julienned away.

What a fun time!! Learned so much about the production of potatoes. Had a reasonably priced lunch , there as well! Good gift shop, and cafe. Lot bigger than we thought it would be. Close by to the MacAusland wool factory.

Wouldn't you freaking know? This was a fun place to go! And tasty as can be- since they have a restaurant that serves potatoes in almost every way imaginable. Much more interesting than I thought it would be. Definitely worth the drive for a family. You'll probably be hungry by the time you get there too!

We weren't sure what to expect from this museum but it turned out to be a great couple of hours. We learned about the role of the potato in history and about how it is grown and harvested. The Rick Mercer videos were funny and looking around the barn with the antique equipment was cool. Also, everyone who works here is very friendly and the potato fudge is yummy!

The museum had 2 parts, the potato museum and a community museum showcasing local artifacts.
The potato museum had lots of history and some audio visual components staring Rick Mercer. The back room had farm equipment and tools that were used in the potato industry. Well done.

It's only $10.00 for admission, $23.00 for a family.
