Hi Darren thank you for your question , our boat is suitable for a 2 year old. I would recommend one of the 2 hour trips would be enough for a little one on first trip out . The Seal Cove Safari Is often a favourite . My grandson is just over two and also enjoys the two hour mackerel trip but would need to help you with your rod. If you are bringing a pushchair you may wish to book over a tide which embarks abs disembarks from south quay which has the least steps . Hi Laura .. it’s a great question , if only we all knew this :0) There is no schedule as tide times vary daily and prey species they follow and forage drift in and around bays at different times of day. I think this is what makes the encounter so incredible special when we do see them . The seals are around most of the time either in the Sea or hauled out so spotting well alongside crew and other passengers maximises chance of spotting them . Whatever comes along it’s a great day out in a rugged wild environment which just can’t be beaten . Fingers crossed the wildlife are actively feeding on your day. Hi and thanks for your question. Our boat is large with safety railings and has a seated indoor wheelhouse as well as out on deck seats so if she gets chilly she can take shelter from wind or sun and still see out through windows. It’s a catamaran so more stable than single hulled vessels so more family friendly. We have a toilet at deck level and safety railings all around boat so she’s not legally required to wear a life jacket but we do carry some fun finding nemo children’s life jackets if you wish and feel happier with her wearing one .. please just ask the skipper:0) There are a choice of two hour trips and I’m guessing it’s the Seal Cove Safari you are thinking about which is great for children as it doesn’t stop too often so a changing active scenery keeps them interested. It can be a little like a car so if she travels well in a car then it’s likely she’ll have good Sea Legs but to be sure maybe leave it to book until nearer the time and pick a fair weather day for her first trip out. Our booking clerk would be happy to let you know most suitable day. Also if you have a pushchair the best steps to embark and disembark are south quay as there are less steps to negotiate so please advise clerk on booking. Deck is large enough to take wheelchair but you’re advised to apply brakes and stay with pushchair throughout. If it’s the Mackerel Fishing Trip I would advise you to help her with fishing as that might be a little harder for her . Hi Glyn usually the two trips are seperate Seal Cove Safari 2 hour trip is Adult £23/ Child £17 ( under 12s) Or Mackerel Fishing Trip Adult /child £15 each Prices for 2018 But you can hire the boat to yourselves and combine the two . Cost of guided bespoke combined private charter would be £210 and you can take up to 12 people on it .. do a bit of safari spotting for marine wildlife and then fishing... bring your lunch/supper and refreshments and enjoy it in the beauty of the bay .
