This is a really lovely park, so many areas to walk. Children's play areas, information boards to learn about the area, lots of green space. Dog owners are welcome. There is a cafe located here too. Free parking also.

Absolutely love this little gem of a park lovely walks and activity equipment for the children perhaps some larger swings but not a criticism and the food in the park cafe excellent a wonderful place to relax unwind and the children/grandchildren can have fun too. Well worth going to.

We walk
Our dog here all the time and it’s beautiful place. It’s a good size and has so many features. Football pitches, a brilliant Café, bowls greens, a truly beautiful meadow, a sensory garden, two exciting kids playgrounds, a volunteer hub that teaches, tennis courts, and just a huge variety of flora and fauna. It feels very Victorian with several features including a classic bandstand and some beautiful memorials. It’s well located for town, the Torpoint ferry and further access to other parks and the sea.

Today 11/5/20I visited Devonport park And very disappointed to see a number of dogs with owners off the lead, dog owners had no consideration for other park users.
The cafe only just opened and seem to be struggling with completing simple order!
I have been to the park for the first time about 4 weeks ago and it was very pleasant, and the plants and small gardens are beautiful but only a few dog owners.
Dog owner must remember that not everyone likes dogs !

This has to be one of best places to visit with the Grandchildren, its free, good play areas, cafe for hot Chocolate and within walking distance.

We went for a walk one Sunday and came across the Devenport park .It was very well cared for and was very busy with families which was lovely to see.There were also dog walkers,It really is a huge park ,there are lovely monuments,Lots of lovely trees and lots of birds and squirrels.it ideally is a special place.delighted we came across it.

Whenever we are visiting my eldest sister, now residing in a local care home, if she is not well enough to take to the glories of Plymouth Hoe, we wheel her across into this well-maintained park, with its bandstand, and cafe. Last time we did so, she reminded me that our Mother used to bring me here as an infant, over 75 years ago when getting me out of the stifling atmosphere of living with my father's relatives, to enjoy the freshest of air, i these lovely park with its wonderful views across Devonport, the Tamar and Cornwall beyond.

Not been up here for ages. Came early morning. People walking dogs, exercising and others probably off to work or about their business. The park is very well tended, trees, bushes and plants all thriving, the paths well maintained and there is, from the look of the notice boards, an active and large group of friends of the park including volunteers who seem to be energetic and pro-active because not only benefited substantially from Devonport Regeneration but to be plugged into other support and donations. The bandstand looks wonderful and I hope it gets used enough as well as being an elegant and efficient cover from rain and strong sun. Things like the Boule Piste (or Pentanque as they call it more specifically here) is obviously well used, to the point that this month it is being enlarged threefold. The cafe in the middle is not bad, there’s a bowling green, tennis courts and ample space for lots more besides. A strong thread of history through the place too, views of old parts of the city, not least the dockyard and the Tamar. The Doris memorial exhibiting a captured Boer War gun, the Grade II listed Great War monument and more besides. All round an excellent and sustainable community park.

Devonport park is a credit to its custodians, an absolute oasis in what is a part of Pymouth usually associated with deprivation and urbanization. Well worth a visit for its beautiful gardens and imaginative play areas. The cafes not bad too.

Several parks within the park: infants, juniors, sensory, flower garden, commemorative. Tennis. Bowls. A tiny theatre. Plenty of mature trees. Lots of strongly scented roses and lavender. A cafe. Toilets. Decorative Bandstand. Community centre. Widespread views. A favourite among dogwalkers. This well-kept park is a pleasure, especially on a sunny day. Best park in Plymouth - plenty of history. In the park, there is a zipwire and wind up roundabout. Despite (or possibly because of?) a terrible creaking noise, it seems to be a firm favourite with the children.
