Fascinating coast walk. Lovely views over the Sound. I use a mobility scooter and it was accessible. Entrance to Prince William Yard was down lots of steps so not accessible to me. Car parking was not easy as it was full other than one disabled space. It was free.

This place has a lot of variety for people with different abilities, interests. Large square grass area, walled for games (a disused reservoir), circular walk, grass, trees for shade, stunning views of the River Tamar, Plymouth Sound including Drakes Island, across to Cornwall and the Hoe with Smeatons Tower in the distance. You can park for free and go to the beach or sea pool for a swim. There are toilets open until 9pm and a shower for a fee.
There is the old military bunkers and also pathways for wheelchairs, prams, bikes etc. Really nice place to picnic and cook outside. There is a small coffee kiosk selling pasties and ice cream with their own small private car park and an historic building is a restaurant there for at night. Nice safe pebble beach. Access to Royal William Yard.

Parking overnight is permitted and the main car park is listed on various apps as being able to park up in a van and sleep over. I have done this a number of times and been fairly safe but early hours this morning we experienced trouble from a man who was harassing us at 4am and became very frightened of him shouting at us which started me awake. He was trying to make me sell the van o him for £4000 which is classed as a car as is actually a VW Caravelle that we can put the seats down and sleep in. I had planned on an early swim when the tide was in and an early walk. However as this crazy psychotic man was shouting at the top of his voice that he'd witnessed us f@*king and dogging which we don't do because we are friends and also don't do dogging, I was very upset. I locked all the doors and pulled the tailgate shut which I'd left up for air as it was a hot night. As he'd left us, walking away shouting all of that, waking up residents no doubt, I knew we would have to go back home so as I jumped into the driver seat and fumbled for keys, had to drive away bare footed with my friend still dazed in the back, scared and shocked as this lunatic who seemed like he was on drugs or drunk charging towards us again in the darkness. So I knew that homeless alcoholics can frequent this area at night to sleep in the bunkers and so I slept fully clothed incase of trouble. All I would say is be careful during hours of darkness incase this guy is around or others like him. I had previously been assured by police that all was good here and they regularly patrol but I couldn't take any risks once this guy walked away and then came back as he could have been even more insane and butchered us! He really took offence to me asking him to go away and to leave us alone after he was pestering to sell the van to him. He sounded like he was not all there but in a bad way.

Devils Point is absolutely gorgeous by day or night but just stay safe!

Lovely to watch the world go by...lots to see on the water, boats, canoes, swimmers, SUPs and anything that floats. You can watch, walk with dog, swim in the seapool or sea. Lots of benches. Not enough parking not sure if you can get more parking without ruining the area perhaps that is something that can be looked into. Disabled parking too.

A good balance for Lockdown Exercise. It’s a very short drive/reasonable distance from a great chunk of the city. The car park is more likely to have spaces than in normal times. Although not vast it’s an area where you can walk with or without a dog in a way that keeps you far enough part from others. Far fewer than normal. The views back across the Hoe, out across the Sound both Staddon and Edgecumbe and the fast powerful flow through the mouth of the Hamoaze.

This is a great place to view the Sound and the movement of shipping. It’s also a favourite place for fishing. Whilst there is ample parking, many bays are taken up by staff from Royal William Yard.

We had a lovely walk around devils point looking out to see and enjoying the peace and quiet. We stopped and ate out lunch on the grass before walking some more. Very relaxing afternoon.

A great location with fantastic views. Small free carpark but nearly always full. Other pay and display areas close by. Great area for walking dogs or perhaps a picnic.Just find you spot and then sit and watch the world go by.

We often walk along here when we are walking to and from the RWY, which is connected via steps. There is free parking but it is usually full. The views of Plymouth Sound and Drakes Island are wonderful. It is also a popular dog walking area.

Quite a few people come down here just for the views and to walk their dogs or go walking. Plenty of parking spaces. Plenty
to see with the ferries going to and fro to Cornwall or off to France and Spain. summer time you can swim in the small pool. Its very popular.
