What a beautiful space! First time for me and my labrador exploring this vast park in Plymouth, so much bigger then I thought. Many different areas to explore, a little hilly as well, you can even see Plymouth sound from one field! Dogs everywhere, which was great for my boy and friendly owner’s to chat to. The café is really well run, friendly people and reasonably priced. We’ll def come back!

Went to see Simply Red last night. The concert were amazing, the staff were great and the weather was glorious. The drinks were approx £6.50 each, however you have to queue for tokens, buy the tokens then queue for the drinks. Chips were £5 a Portion.
Negatives…. You weren’t allowed to take a blanket orca camping chair in with you to sit on so you had to sit on the grass. Don’t get it and tbh the security staff couldn’t tell us why and thought it was very odd.
Beware, on the tickets, gates open at 4, show didn’t start until about 730pm, which was another down side.
Apart from chairs and blankets, a good day.

We have been here a few times, lots of lovely open space and perfect on a summers day! Whilst there is the option to pay for activities like footgolf, most of the space if free- making it perfect for exercise and a student budget.
Despite Central park being great on a nice day, one of the downfalls is that it is weather dependent. Also, if you are living in the city centre then it might be a bit of a trek to get here. As well as this, the park tends to get very busy during peak times like the summer holidays so that is something to bear in mind.

Great outdoor space with plenty of areas to run around and explore and play hide and seek . A good play area as well. Well recommended😊

I was at the Life centre counting the election votes, in between breaks I walked in the park, really impressed and will definitely be back again with family. An added bonus can park for free.

Lovely place to take a little stroll, with dogs too although there were many people with and without. Walked ourselves to the little play park for the kids where they played for hours on all of the exciting apparatus. Lovely shaded areas by the trees for the heat and a lovely cafe service food and drink nearby which kept us all going, the kids even enjoyed a cheeky ice cream

Central Park is home to pitch and putt, Plymouth argyle, car boot sales, parks and running tracks. Central Park is very accessible and perfect for a great day out with the family. (if sunny). However in Central Park it contains a lot of crime, people doing drugs, vandalisation and many types of crime and homelessness.

This wonderful 168 acre park was opened in 1928 and has been the heart and lungs of the beautiful city of Plymouth ever since. My late Father recalled the opening of Central Park as a youngster, he remembered it being a Farm plus Farmland and it has been evolving ever since. On the Northern side is the Superb and recently renovated Home Park Stadium the home of League Two Club Plymouth Argyle. Nearby is the brilliant Life Centre, which is a superb sporting facility including one of very few 50 metre swimming pools in the UK. The remainder of this undulating area of countryside is a Mecca for dog walkers, runners and lovers of walking and nature. It also has lots of allotments, children’s play park’s, sports pitches and a new Cafe and recently completed Tennis Court facilities. I am a proud Plymouthian and pensioner who has spent many happy hours of pleasure at this Magic area of Countryside in the middle of our Ocean City.

Whoever designed the new cafe has done a terrible job.
I've visited the cafe 4 times and only twice did I stick out the excruciatingly long waiting times I. Order to be served.
There is one till through which all orders (drinks, icecream & food) are all funnelled & the queue has no choice but to form in the middle of the seated area.
The place has been open for a few weeks & still there are no signs or displays advising customers what is available, meaning customers queue for ages then stand at the till while making a choice what to buy, holding everyone else up.
I queued for 20mins last weekend to buy a cheese panini & water & then waited standing by the counter (the only place to wait) a further 25 mins, only to receive a luke warm toastie. £6 lighter I really wish I hadn't bothered. I'm not sure what was more frustrating, the long wait time, bad food or watching the painful process as a member of staff took 10 minutes to prepare 4 ice cream comes then proceeded to bring them out one by one to the waiting customer. She had two hands!
The staff seem helpless to change a system that has clearly been set up very badly.
Come on Plymouth Council, sort this out. What a total disaster!
