We chose the Hannibal room.
The room itself was awesome - good attention to detail.
A few negative points - I don't think it deserves the highest difficulty. They even give you 80 minutes, and we completed it in 55. I think you could change it to 60, and it would be fine.
Unfortunately the host didn't take a picture of us either at the end.
The method with Walkie Talkies works really well. Host only spoke to us if we contacted them first (the way it should be).
Would recommend and come back.

What a great experience, thank you so much to Josh as our Game Master. Group of 6 children and they all managed to work out different parts of the puzzles and I honestly didn't expect the rooms to feel so large and expansive, each new discovery gave a real Wow factor.
The children loved it and got a great sense of reward when they successfully completed the puzzle and escaped.

Never done an escape room before and I wasn't disappointed x
Irving was brilliant and made the experience so much better, we did case 47 and was surprisingly challenging, definitely needed some clues but was very good x

Great escape room (Hannibal). Irving the guide was great and enthusiastic adding to the experience, the clues and hints literally use all your senses!

Took my son and a small group of his friends here for his 10th birthday (age range 9 - 12) They did the Ace Ventura game and had a whale of a time! Just the children went in to do the escape room and I sat in the small waiting area where the host sits to observe their progress on the CCTV screens. The host gave them a walkie talkie to take in with them so they can communicate in case of any problems or if they're getting very stuck with a puzzle. The host was careful to keep track on them to make sure they weren't falling behind with timings and was very good at giving them hints to help them along the way (but gave them plenty of time to try and figure out the puzzle first). They did need a lot of hints so I would suggest that an adult goes in with younger groups to point them in the right direction!! The booking was for an hour and we were there for the full hour but looking at the leaderboard it could be done in 30-40 mins. As I did not go in I cannot comment on the quality or range of puzzles but I believe it's suitable for a wide age range. Would definitely recommend this escape room as a starting point if you've not done one before.

The 3 of us girls really enjoyed the Hannibal escape room and it was a unique style. The smaller rooms actually added a sense of drama and pressure. We loved the way it started. In fact the first two rooms were pretty epic. Kind of hard to find so leave time to find it.
We found the last room a little frustrating though. It was hard to know where to start. TOP TIP. When you turn on the phones hold the button down for aaaaages. I didn’t hold it down long enough and so thought it didn’t work and the games master was obviously not watching as I would have appreciated a heads up to go back and try it again. Also when I made a call it just said phone off or something (didn’t work) and again they didn’t notice and interject. It wasn’t until I used the walkie talkie in complete frustration and said I literally had no idea what to do next that they started to ask questions and identified we had called 3 times. They even asked what number we had been calling and had to go away for a minute to check out the problem and it wasn’t us but some kind of technical problem. That was frustrating and kind of dampened the end part for me. Also in the last room the music was so loud we couldn’t communicate or hear each other properly. We asked them to turn the volume down, which happened, but later it went back up again.
Irvine was a nice chap and overall we did enjoy it. I do think however they need to sort out the technical problems and potential for frustration, turn down the background music and improve the shop front/signage.

Great fun, definitely would recommend it with a group of friends! Lovely, helpful staff! Challenging but definitely a way to get the mind working!!

We have two options of games on VR, one is called Cosmos and another one is called Mind Horror. Cosmos is definitely not a scary one, I can assure you that.

How much does the Ace Ventura escape room cost?

This room I believe is £24 for adults and £16 for children. It’s in my opinion the best one. So interactive. I think they give discount if you do a second room on the same day. Hope that helps.
