Entrance is via a glass door and inside, the floor had been relaid and is shiny and clean. The walls are covered with many very shiny plaques including one to a V. C. winner and there is a small chapel in which there is a war memorial and stein windows to those lost in wars. The pews have been removed so the interior has a more airy feeling.

A truly must for all visitors to Seaford. A large portion of the church itself was built before the Normandy invasion so there is a lot of history to the church. It is located right in the heart of the town.

At the time of the centenary of the end of WW1 it was lovely to see the memorials and read the information on those who gave their lives.

Thoroughly enjoyed the recent free concert at lunchtime, now aware these run most months. Lovely surroundings to relax and enjoy some live music.

St. Leonards is the largest church in Seaford. A few years ago the church was closed so that the pews could be removed and a new floor fitted. At the same time parishioners bought the chairs on which they worship and a new lower altar and font were purchased from a legacy.
The church can be used for concerts and other activities. Every 2 years in September there is a Flower Festival. Well worth a visit

I would love to have seen how this church featured as centre to the community 900 years ago. It is somewhat lost in the centre of town now. It is very bright and open on the inside, not musty like some churches of similar vintage.

An old church and graveyard in the middle of the town nothing special . Architecture is similar to many others of the period and as a confirmed atheist any spiritual aspect is lost on me.

Check out the decorative heads to the churches columns, they are all different with one of them in Oak leaves. Oh and there is a church mouse about in the building of mixed structures from 11th Century. Great spot for a wee prayer and look out for the monthly free concerts on Saturday...

Why call it a chapel ?
It reminds me of so many others in the Welsh Valley's Chapels of varying faiths but many are now being sold off for housing
Not so here, a delightful place of worship for almost 1,000
The thought of the thousands of weddings & funerals ' Celebrated at this lovely Chapel on the Hill
But I was there for a Funeral - my Mums.
Sad as the day was, the setting almost symathised the Congregation but unlike those I have previously attended, the ' Coffin '' was made of stout Cardboard with grass, flowers & sky painted.
i love the simplicity of this architecture surrounded as it is by hundreds of well kept graves - and an easy place to reflect on the meaning of life
No problem with Disabled Parking either - right outside, & close enough to ' walk ' a few yards into the doors - interestingly placed at the side of the building
Tranquillity in spades - but despite it's charm, I really do not want to re-visit...........

I love architecture so I get easily fascinated for the old buildings. It is in the centern a bit on the top of the town. Nice
