First visit (to see Grant Lee Phillips) and was really impressed. Nice bar area upstairs and small, very intimate music hall downstairs. Good range of beers at reasonable prices. It was crowded and hot but I would rather have that than a half empty hall. If it gets too hot/crowded you can watch on screen from the bar upstairs for a breather. Great atmosphere and the acoustics/sound quality was excellent. Massive car park opposite. Friendly people on door. This performance was "all ages" so took our teenage son. You can tell that a lot of heart and soul has gone into the venue. Great to see this and the Booking Hall in Dover doing well and some decent original artists appearing in East Kent.

Visited on a Saturday night.Greeted at the door by a very pleasant and polite security lady.When name checked we were shown in.
There is a lovely bar area upstairs with the music room on the lower floor.Great sound,great staff.
Unisex toilets on the bottom floor.
We will be back.

Brilliant gig and brilliant venue. Drinks prices more than reasonable, especially for locally brewed beers. Didn’t quite realise how loud it would be!

Although I’m from Ramsgate I’ve never had a chance to visit so it was a pleasure to be able to go with my brother to see one of my favourite artists (Billy Nomates) the day before Ramsgate FC were playing. The gig was great and I really loved the venue. It’s small but the acoustics are great and I especially like the emphasis on people being asked not to chat constantly during the gig. I also like the fact that the small bar upstairs caters for those who can’t shut up even musicians are playing as there is a live feed to the stage if you want to watch on screen while you matter. And after the gig, you’re right in Ramsgate town centre with several pubs nearby. Great venue. Poor result in the football but that has also become a superb community asset for all ages.

Fantastic, friendly, tiny live music venue with an awesome sound system that presents an eclectic mix of genres - right across the spectrum. Also supports local grass-roots bands. Intimate and amazing, a safe space for everyone.

I've been to the Ramsgate Music Hall tens of times now since moving to Thanet, and it gets better with each visit. If you want to see great bands, with impeccable sound quality, in an intimate room, then this is the place for you. And if you think it isn't, come anyway and be surprised. On a practical note, the upstairs bar is great and the toilets are clean. Did i mention the friendly welcome too?

This venue is perfect in every way. It’s run by the friendliest people with the best sound equipment and which delivers the best experience. You have to experience itit to appreciate it

Ramsgate Music Hall is a fabulous, friendly and very approachable venue tucked away in Ramsgate. It has amazing sound and a brilliant feel. The range of bands/artists is wide and the owner (who is always around and keen to chat/meet) is always keen for suggestions on new acts.
It is small, but that is its beauty. The people that go here are generally nice, kind and friendly (yes, that word again!) and this is what makes it special.
Its size means you get very close to the bands and often you'll find yourself standing next to the lead singer in the audience while watching a support act.
The bar is equally intimate, but not uncomfortable, and offers good quality and local beers at reasonable prices.

A fantastic venue, I can't recommend it enough. Fantastic sound, friendly staff and punters. It didn't win the NME small venue of the year for nothing.
Great experience being so close to the bands. Not overcrowded. Brilliant.
