I have just returned from what was the most incredible experience. I was fortunate enough to do an overnight stay experience and what an experience it was. The grounds of the sanctuary are stunning and absolutely immaculate and the lodges are absolutely beautiful. Everything has been thought of to the tiniest of detail from gowns and slippers in your room through to the little chocolate on your pillow when you return to your lodge after your evening meal.
The staff from the reception, maintenance, hospitality, and rangers cannot do enough for you and go out of their way to make sure you have the most amazing experience and even staff who have nothing to do with you throughout your stay will greet you and ask how your stay is when passing throughout the grounds.
The food was incredible! I’ve never eaten so much in 24 hours and the afternoon tea is a lovely way to begin your overnight experience! The atmosphere at this sanctuary is something I can’t explain - these people care about their jobs, care about the sanctuary and care about your experience.
The cats are just….. wow! Exactly as you can imagine! Majestic, breathtaking and absolutely surreal to see up close! Getting to hand feed a white tiger is something that will stay with me for life and is a bucket list moment i’ll never forget!
I guarantee that this will be worth every penny and more and I hope people continue to do these experiences to keep this wonderful sanctuary and the work they do going for decades to come

This place exceeded all expectations. Stayed overnight in Leopard lodge and from the moment of arriving we were greeted by very attentive staff, shown accommodation. It was birthday treat so had flowers and champagne surprise. The lodge was immaculate and had everything you could ever need! Felt cosy and in keeping with surroundings. Was amazed by the detail in surrounding gardens and plantation which is nice to see. The animals were obviously well looked after, nice to see a place that is very clearly putting back investment straight to the animals and their habitats. The staff were all welcoming and the place ran like a slick operation, it felt very relaxed and peaceful, lovely that overnights are limited to very few numbers. A one night felt like a few days as tour nicely split into PM and AM. Very knowledgeable guide, Michael.. very interesting and passionate about the sanctuary made the tour so much more fascinating. The food from afternoon tea, dinner to breakfast were all well presented and offered a lot of lovely local produce. The lions sharing space at dinner was just a added bonus! Highly recommend and good value for money with accommodation, 3 meals, gorgeous animals....what more do you need! A little haven.

I give a small monthly donation to the Sanctuary and was in England for a couple of weeks from Australia and I booked a Big Cat Experience. My travelling companion left the day before to go home so it was just me with a personal tour guide for about 2 hours. It is a little expensive but absolutely worth it. Li was my guide who was very knowledgable and loved the cats and their personalities. I fed Baikel the White Tiger and one of the spotted jaguars. Beautiful cats and so well looked after. One for the bucket list! Just loved it.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
We was met by the lovely Jackie, who showed us to our lodge, gave us the safety talk and the itinerary for our stay, Our lodge was called Puma and from start to finish it’s been an excellent experience.
The lodge was lovely and clean, with everything you need to make your stay 5*
Our guide Izzie was so knowledgeable and could answer any question thrown at her, she made the experience special. The highlight of our stay was hand feeding a big cat of your choice, mine was Inka, and my husbands was leia, it’s hard to believe that they are so gentle taking the food from you.
We dined in the conservatory over looking the asiatic loins, the food was top notch and plenty full.
Thank you to the whole team that made our experience 💯

We received an experience at this sanctuary as a Christmas present from our son and daughter in law.
What an experience, absolutely fantastic couple of hours seeing the cats and feeding a lion and tiger. You go around as a couple with your own guide and ours was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to tell us the history of these beautiful animals.
Loved every minute of the journey ….if you get the chance to go you will not be disappointed.

Wow from the second we got there for our over night stay we was made to feel totally special staff faultless accommodation faultless tour was amazing Michael who was our guide was so good so full of information nothing was rushed he was perfect and the actual place well just totally outstanding and what there doing there is awesome have to say the food on the whole stay was top top restaurant stuff breakfast dinner afternoon tea all first class. If you get the chance to do this you would be crazy not to amazing amazing amazing

I did a 1:1 photography experience, followed by an overnight stay. My photography tutor (Alma Leaper) was incredibly welcoming, engaging and helpful, She has a wonderful relationship with the cats, which facilitates great photos. I thoroughly enjoyed the session, learned a lot and would love to do it again; the close-up access to the cats was a really special experience.
All the staff at BCS are very welcoming, and the food was lovely and plentiful. The lodge we stayed at (Cheetah Lodge) was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed.
This was our second overnight stay here, and will not be our last.
This is a valuable resource for education.Seeing the cats up close is such a special experience.

My wife booked the overnight lodge experience for me as a special treat as I love all animals but cats especially.
It was a considered purchase as it's not cheap for an overnight stay but it's definitely worth it.
It was absolutely faultless from the moment we arrived. The lodges were scrupulously clean and very well equipped, the staff were so friendly and parking and access were great. The lodges have a special parking area at the top of the car park.
We had our first session with the keeper that afternoon. He was really knowledgeable and made sure we got up as close to the cats as safely as we could. Our keeper for the two days was Simon and he was brilliant.
Dinner that evening was perfectly cooked - food was top quality and we had the luxury of a lion sleeping right next to us on the other side of the glass whilst we ate. A decent wine list and even a cocktail list were all taken advantage of.
We could hear the big cats roaring in the night and in the morning breakfast was lovely. We then went out again with Simon and had a chance to hand feed lions and tigers which was incredible. After we had our morning session and checked out of our lodge we had some free time to look around before we finally left to journey home.
A shout out to all the lovely staff and volunteers - thank you.
If you love cats, are concerned about conservation and want to get close to big cats in an ethical and controlled manner this is for you. Five stars.

As with a lot of people, we did the lodge stay for a special occasion (40th birthday). And yes, there’s no getting away from the cost of the overnight stays which does seem expensive for just one night. But oh wow it was worth every penny! The whole team were welcoming, the cats seem very well cared for and respected. Our tour guide (Emily) shared her knowledge and passion with ease. The front of house team were incredibly helpful and friendly. The lodge itself was beautiful and I cannot describe the excitement of waking up during the night to listen to the lions roaring or watching them prowl from our dining table whilst trying to eat! Definitely want to go back and see how the planned expansions look, and help support a wonderful conservation charity.

Hi, thinking of booking an overnight stay. I’ve read that arrival time on the first day is between 2-2:30pm but was just wondering what the timings are for the second day i.e. time of feeding experience & how long it lasts, just to give me an idea of what time we would leave to head home, thank you

Hi you are right arrival is 2.15 to 2.30. A host shows you to your lodge. We then had afternoon tea at 2.50 to 3.30. We then went with a keeper to see the big cats in one half of the sanctuary. We got back to our lodge around 5. Pre dinner drinks were at 6.30 with a delicious evening meal at 7pm. The restataurant closes at 9.30. The next day breakfast was at 8, with the big cat experience continuing at 9 through to about 11. Feeding the cats happened on day two with guests choosing which cat to feed. We went back to our lodge until the 12 mid day check out. Guests can then spend until 1pm wandering the sanctuary before departing. When I was sent the itinerary I was a little concerned that it seemed rather full on. However, we felt it was perfectly timed. The time with the cats was just right. It was a fantastic experience. I hope you have a great time.

On an open day can you park your motorhome in the car park whilst you visit? (Not stay overnight in it in the car park… just park it there for the day). Can’t find any info on open day car parking to know if there are a lot of spaces / no height restrictions, etc. Thanks.

No height restrictions and it was a fair size car park which was ample for the amount of guests they allow in at one time . I reckon you could park with ease but I would ring them as they are helpful .

We are considering an overnight stay, as we loved our first visit for the Jaguar conservation talk.
Out of interest, having done a hand feed at the sister park, Paradise Wildlife Park, I was wondering how many pieces of meat you get to hand feed here, as those that won or paid for it at the conservation talk only had 1 or 2 pieces..

Not very well signposted, the signs are easier to see from one direction than the other as there is a sign a little up the road telling you it is how ever many yards further on so you are looking for the entry

I actually went on an arranged day trip, there were 40 adults no children plus a few people staying in the safari lodges.
I believe more are allowed on open days but to be sure why don't you ring the BCS they are very obliging!
Can you book a stay in a lodge all year round,i want to go in December
