Freezing cold in January but still a sight to behold. Could see it each morning from our hotel window so couldn't resist going for a splash through the puddles. I bet this is fabulous in the summer. Was surprised at how clean it was. We just sat on the steps for ages watching the tide come in but then it was time to move!

Love taking in the sea air as we strolled along from the hotel to the tower and to the town. Everything was clean with a sparkling Irish sea

This beach must be world famous and deserves to be! At low tide there are miles and miles of clean, golden sand with three piers to wander under. The beach slopes very shallowly and so it is very safe for young children.

Very clean beach. Refurbished over the years so all new step access and ramps. You can walk from one end of the prom to the other. You have to visit the beach when you visit a seaside town.

Absolutely amazing beach with great feel of sand the sea is usually low tide every time we visit and we found a fiver class beach 💩

All tourists should be aware that the council have bus lane cameras on a one way street going to city centre. Once committed they have you instant ticket in the post whne you get home nice surprise. I know blackpool well but they made changes. Wrote appeal which they replied to after 6 weeks. I paid it so thye could not bump it up. So dont hin the clock stops when you appeal. Be aware The yare cash strapped and they want otrap you. A one way street. Cant reverse.
Now on top of this there is no inward investment of any kind Empty shops and shops. Terrible. Levelling up not happening. Also a speed trap. Cameras everyhere. Along the front road in I think there is 30. Bad for tourists as they can get trapped again .Could be expensive if you make an error.Paarking is a joke. Disabled spaces are taken up all the time Cant get parked and if youy make a mistake you guessed it you get a ticket. Tourists need to watch as the rules inh blackpool may not be the same as where you come from. So if you want t ogo by car think about somehwere else. If you need a car as disabled watch out the council want o nail you at every step. The appeal is a joke. Never adressed issues raised. Becuase alread ypaid and in their coffers. They said bus gate was all over the country but not where i live.
So all in all bad. Hotel was a chain Norbreck house but it was past its best Smoking dope at the doors/ entrance and in the rooms. Rooms poor carpets worn paint bad. Food excellent as were staff. no investment in the place. Fabric of building long overdue.
So all in all you spend your time watching for tickets and making sure you dont slip up. Never got a ticket in 40 years. When committed i beleived it was safer to go forward as one way. They wanted me when i say the signs to reverse on to the prom

This place is horrendous to drive around. Speed limits have no rime or reason and change so often. Signage very poor and some road layouts ridiculous. Never seen so many speed cameras is this why the limits change so often to get revenue. For ever looking for the speed limits. If I've got away without a ticket I will be very lucky. Trying to find parking near to where you want to be is horrendous because of very poor signs. Last time I came to Blackpool was ok. Haven't enjoyed my time here this time. Won't be back.

Aww… the famous Blackpool lights you can see if you drive through Blackpool in the night. The spanked fairy light display, you would never get away with nowadays in Wales. An improvement would be modernizing that part of the light display. The Blackpool Tower paid lift ride has not been operational over my lifetime. The tram system creates the top level it takes a long time to walk between both sides of Blackpool beach area, but it does not. The shops and amusement arcades are well worth a visit. Wood is not a good long lasting building material for outdoors and a sign of poverty, PVC double glassed windows and doors you want without glass panels at the bottom, not wood as you need to keep on painting wood making it more expensive to price.

Big sandy beach. Went for a long walk along the beach and back along the promenade. It was too cold to sit on the beach being October and the sea was wild!

Iml looking g for a person we met on holidays , they used to own donkeys in blackpool their names are sue and jacko , on return at the airport we got separated so we didn't get their phone numbers can you help .

Do you allow children to hold the reins of donkeys? When I was a child in Jersey in 1970s I was lucky enough to do so. Has a child ever asked or tried to hold the reins? If so what was your reaction? I would have created about that at their age
This is will be my first visit back in a few years cannot believe the Deck chairs are gone, im extremely disappointed .
I spent many a summer on them as a child, so sad.
In my fifties & still would like to be able to sit & lounge on one for old time sake. Sitting on steps isn't the same & getting up & down from a towel isn't the most comfortable, at my age. I must say, my visit will not be the same without a chair; Blackpool Council what are you doing ??

Hi there. We asked about this whilst we were there and were told there wasn’t a deck chair rental facility ‘this time of year’. Whether that means there is in the summer, I’m unsure. However I also remember hearing about someone buying ALL the old deckchairs to recondition and sell as iconic Blackpool memories so I wonder if the service has ‘gone’ x

Yes dogs are allowed I've seen people with there dogs on beach not a problem at all as long as you clean up after them an don't let them out of control because there's other people there to enjoy as well

There are some beach huts and also in St Anne's but sorry I do not know the cost
