Great Day Out for pre school age children. Young enthusiastic staff guide you thru 4 play zones each of which are approx 45 minutes in duration. You have to follow the process rather than do your own thing so if you're kids flag or need naptime at some point then a potential handicap but otherwise it's a full 3 hr experience which will tire out both children and adults!

My 5 year old daughter enjoyed it but i found it frustrating.
Firstly, website clearly says 3 hours but after 2 hours 45 mins were told our tour was over and encouraged to leave.
Secondly, I’ve not been since pre-covid, so the 45 minute limit was new to me and it’s annoying. Some kids like role play more, some like science more etc. my daughter hadn’t had enough time in the role play but we had to move on. Then she was bored in the arts section after 20 mins. Outdoor section might have helped but apparently it’s “closed until Spring” (it’s mid April so should be open in my book?)
She would have liked more time in the science area as she loves it. But we had to move on to slime making. The slime making show was good but not really good for younger children who struggle to sit still and listen. And it only lasted 30 mins so I felt like we were a bit shortchanged given the prices.
Won’t be going back whilst 45 min limit still applies

We loved imagine that! In the past however we haven’t been since covid and this was our first time since then and we were disappointed this time around. You now only get 45 mins in each section which isn’t ideal for a 2 year old as they don’t understand why that have to move on when they are fully engaged in play. Everything is really rushed and you also miss outdoors this time of year which I feel is a let down! Adults now have to pay where as per covid one adult was free.
The craft area is manic and you have to walk around with wet paintings and craft (ridiculous). I can understand why they had it this way for covid reasons however it needs to go back to how it was. The last section at the end isn’t toddler friendly and they have to scream all the way through being made to sit for 45 mins. Overpriced now for 3 hours so don’t think we’d go again as we were used to how it had been before.

Lovely day with two two year olds! We really enjoyed it the time went very quick but I felt was just enough time.
My thing would be wear clothes you don't mind getting messy, bring drinks and snacks and have a good day!

A very special, unique place but it needs some tlc. This is a really unique place but having first visited around 6 months ago, it is not as good as it was. Also it now costs more money.
There are a lot of activities that are broken or don’t work well and haven’t been fixed in months. Also it needs a clean. For example the trays and plastic items in the shop area look like they haven’t been cleaned for months and months.
These are some of the activities that need fixing….
The ball machines where it sucks the balls up don’t work well. If you put more than one ball up they don’t work when they used to be fine. Some don’t work with even one ball.
In the science area there are activities that just don’t work with wires sticking out.
The demonstration on my visit in the science area was blowing bubbles and then making snow but the snow machine didn’t seem to be working or used. Snow just fell from a cloth which wasn’t as good as when I visited before. There are so many exciting, cheap and easy science demonstrations you could do instead of blowing bubbles as kids blow bubbles every day.
The large bubble machine that you stand in never works.
The water area in science really doesn’t work well at all. The machines just throw water all over the side and you get wet. Some of the foam rockets on the rocket launcher are torn and ripped and need to be removed and replaced.
The shop was one of the favourite areas for my child with the conveyor belt. This has now been replaced by a piece of wood on the top which doesn’t move and is poor in comparison. This seems a cheap and dull solution to what I imagine was a broken conveyor belt.
During my visit things stopped working or had parts etc missing that staff should have noticed and repaired. I fixed them or found the missing items myself. If I hadn’t demonstrations and activities would not have worked the whole time I was there. Staff don’t monitor the areas during the visit.
I paid for a toddler session 10am to 12.30pm but by 12.10pm staff were packing up areas and I felt really rushed to leave, even though there was a full 20 minutes left.
This place is so so unique and special but it’s need some care, time and imagination putting back into it. You are charging more but delivering less than a few months ago.

Visited today my first time, however my son and wife visited a couple of weeks back.
Booked in for 10, short brief outside prior to entering, 1st area is like a mini town and vehicles etc, so you have a shop, car wash, pizzeria, American diner etc and my son enjoyed this area especially being a vet. Only downside though is the staff make it clear you need to monitor your child (which is fair enough and I 100% agree and I doubt many parents wouldn’t) however you have small crawl space from one side to the other which an adult wouldn’t fit through so you have to walk all around to catch up, not very practical I would say.
2nd room is the paint area, lots of things to do and paint etc, could be messy. (A full size car is in there to paint)
3rd room is science, this was by far the best room lots of interactive stuff to do plus a really informative talk with demonstrations which my lad loved, only downside in here was the amount of damaged and non working items, don’t get me wrong it’s a shame people feel the need to break items though I would also argue these could and should be repaired. (Like I said two weeks since my wife visited last and she said it was broken then)
4th room is slime, again really good interaction from the staff (the astronaut one) my son loved asking questions and they were very accommodating. At this point he was shattered so once we had looked in shop and brought a toy it was time to go. Overall about 3 hours spent in there.
Toilets provided in each area, cafe in areas 1 and 2 (the first cafe is pointless I don’t see why that’s in there, as you only have 45 minutes in each area so cannot imagine it’s greatly used) cakes in the 2nd cafe are awesome !! And reasonably priced.
Overall a good day though I still feel places like this overcharge for adults, the adults don’t really get anything out of the day and when you know they will also spend money in the cafe and shop I think it’s wrong but heh ho, still a good 1/2 day out.
Would be better also if you could jump between the areas as you wish but understand why they do 45 minutes then move on

Nice and interactive. Kids had a lovely time experimenting and playing around in the different rooms. Good value for money. However I found the 45 min in each room quite lengthy and at the last room we were all very tired! Maybe a shorter overall tour would be better.

I booked my son’s 5th birthday party at Imagine That, after several successful visits. The whole experience from start to finish was first class. The staff were helpful and friendly. The facilities were fabulous with the different themed rooms and the activities were well received by the children and parents. The party food was well organised too and the children enjoyed the cake and pizza. The only restriction was the maximum number of children, it would have been good to have been able to invite more of the class as there was plenty of space. Thanks so much!!!

Our first visit to imagine that with our 4 year old son. It’s a lovely little place for younger children with plenty to do, our son had a lovely time overall which is the most important thing. But there we a few things we noticed that could do with being tweaked. First of all the overall feel of the place and equipment is pretty tired, it obviously gets a lot of use but we noticed there were areas that were really grubby and there were some things, particularly in the science bit that just didn’t work very well any more or at all (although would say the science bit was the best bit with the most to do). There was a splash and water play section which our son loved but half of it didn’t work because there wasn’t enough water in it, so small things like topping that up between sessions would help.
I’m not sure the ‘guided tour’ bit worked for us. Staff were all lovely but once ‘our guide’ introduced herself to us at the beginning we never saw her again. Also 45 mins per section not great, particularly as the first two sections have cafes and most sessions are over lunch. We grabbed a quick sandwich in the first one (imagination village) which ate into our time there.
Also, the second ‘art section’ for me wasn’t great. Partly because our son isn’t that into painting, but there were really only three things to do - paint the car, take a photo or play with the pin wall. A huge part of this section is again given over to the cafe.
Slime section at the end was cute but all felt a bit disorganised and rushed. The experiments were great though!
In each section it seemed like there were some extra activities as they kept announcing winners of things and some kids were walking around with little pots of snow they have made but these things weren’t made clear and again seemed to be rushed through as they had to fit it into 45 mins.
Overall we had a lovely time but it could do with some updating soon and they should rethink the 45 minute sections for me - I understand why they’ve done it as it creates more footfall but I wouldn’t return under this format.
A few tweaks and it would be amazing!

It can get busy but there is so much to do you can take your time and spend the day there. There is activities on throughout the day so if one is busy you can just do the next one.

I don't think so there is loads of things to do and see and the parents get involved as well. If my child was one I would take them there. Hope this helps.
