My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping down Dale Street on the run up to Christmas, the 23rd of December, we dropped in The Saddle Inn ,a pub we alway make a beeline to whenever we're on this vibrant street.
This pub looks superb, its two roomed, the pub is traditional, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, tv's to enjoy the sport and on our visits beautifully decked out for the Christmas season, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, all in all its a wonderful pub to visit.
We were here on a cold and rainy night, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we were greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the bar team ,we ordered a guinness each, guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub.
My guinness was absolutely superb, a thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness, so tasty, a nice change from the beers we had been drinking earlier on in the day.
We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on, had a great time, our visit really put me in the Christmas spirit, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Liverpool or near Dale Street.

Fantastic bar staff and great drinks X However we asked four times for a song to sing for Karaoke. Each time the very small man who ran the Karaoke (obvs had Small Man Syndrome) ignored us. It was as if it was locals only 🙄 We spent over £160 at bar, danced and gave the place life, but this little man ignored our requests. The patrons were fabulous and we had a great night but for goodness sake, get a new Karaoke King because this little fella is going to ruin the reputation of an amazing place. X

Located down Dale Street is The Saddle Inn ,a pub I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.
This pub is so good,a traditional interior, lovely decor and furnishings, the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its a very cool pub.
We were here on a Thursday afternoon, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a guinness each, guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in .
My guinness was absolutely superb, a rich, thick and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste and very easy to drink, on a hot afternoon a totally refreshing brew.
We really enjoyed our guinness in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and as on every other visit to The Saddle Inn .
The Saddle Inn is easy to locate along Dale Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants.

The Saddle (The Saddle Inn) is an old town pub in Dale street that offers a great range of beer and spirits at very affordable price.
The Saddle is a proper old town pub and is a very popular pub with locals and tourists. This pub has two main drinking area's facing the main bar and is very well kept with superb seating area's and is full of interesting fixtures and features.
We have been visiting here for many year's and it is always worth visiting as the atmosphere in here is always spot on.This is our first trip this year and we were warmly welcomed by the bar staff'we sat by the main entrance and gave all our detail's for the track and trace.
When here we had a Tetley brewery Bitter each a beer I don't normally drink but since I haven't had a decent Bitter in year's gave it a try.I must say it was spot on and very cheap considering you are in one of the best old town pubs in the city centre on Dale street.
The Saddle is a very traditional pub and the type of pub I love visiting as they offer a good and well priced drinks menu and the atmosphere is always spot on.Very easy to locate from Moorfields train station turn right on Dale street and then walk for a couple of minutes.(This is my second review of the Saddle).

It's sad walking down Dale Street at the moment, all pubs are closed but with the announcement by Boris of our roadmap out of the pandemic there is light at the end of the tunnel ,from the 12th of April pubs open with outside service only and from the 17th of May inside and outside service is allowed and by June more or less back to normal, I will look forward to visiting pubs such as The Saddle Inn along Dale Street.
A solid locals pub, unpretentious, a tidy interior and great staff, prices are fair and beers are always served in excellent condition, its one of my favourite pubs, its one of the first I will visit once the 3rd and final lockdown is lifted.

Great stop off on a crawl in this end of town. Bit of karaoke if you’re lucky, some food. Never any bad atmosphere here, bordering the Gay Quarter.

Just after the 1st coronavirus pandemic lockdown restrictions were lifted and pre tier three coronavirus pandemic restrictions that ultimately led to the 2nd lockdown my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into this great pub and what a fantastic time we had .
I love the look of this pub, the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, nice decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub and as an added bonus beautifully decked out for Halloween, staff had gone the extra mile to decorate the pub.
We were here on a Saturday night, we had just been next door to The Denbigh Castle Pub and decided to pop into here, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we ordered a John Smiths bitter each, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
My bitter was really good, a well balanced bitter, from the first sip till the last sup a totally refreshing brew ,it was just so good being in a such a vibrant pub enjoying a quality brew.
We really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
The Saddle Pub is easy to locate along Dale Street, a street and area teeming with pubs and bars.
Opening hours are;

I like this pub, usually good atmosphere, good ale and friendly staff.
Was there yesterday, had a nice drink and was on my last pint when staff called last orders.
A couple walked in a few minutes later and were told (rightly so) that they can't be admitted and served.
About 5 minutes later another couple walked in, seemed friendly with staff and were served! I was bewildered.
I spoke with staff, pointed out that they should not be serving after the bell had been rung and turning away a couple 5 minutes earlier.
The male staff member looked me in the eye across the bar and said "WHATS IT DO DO WITH YOU".
This made me feel intimidated so i quickly finished my drink and left.
Staff have allowed people they know to enter and be served contrary to covid and licensing restrictions, it is not fair.
I still think this is a good place to drink but due to this incident, I will not be going back.

The Saddle Pub is a pub I always enjoy visiting and with the relaxing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions and the opening of pubs in the UK a pub I was eagerly looking forward to visiting.
The pub itself is cool, nice decor and furnishings, tv's to enjoy the sport and despite its relatively small size plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, there are some subtle changes, social distance stickers ,hand sanitisers and you have to sign into the pub ,name, phone number or email address to assist in the " track & trace system " .
We were here on a Saturday afternoon, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we signed in ,led to a table were we ordered a John Smiths Bitter each, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
My bitter was really good,a rich, smooth bitter bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of,after 99 days without a pint of bitter it was just so good enjoying a delicious brew in such a wonderful pub.
We really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
The Saddle Pub is easy to locate along Dale Street ,a street and area teeming with great real ale pubs .
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, Open from Midday.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
