Er nemt at finde og er gratis. Fortæller den britiske hærs historie igennem tiden uden dog at gå rigtig i dybden. Er meget for børne at prøve og se. Er mange forskellige udstillinger og man kan bruge 2 timer her. Er en god cafe på stedet. Man må ikke have kufferter eller store tasker med ind.

I took the opportunity of visiting the National Army Museum when in London, and didn't realise it was free entry. The exhibits tell the story of the British Army in many many campaigns, war's, and situations. The exhibits are set out well accompanied by plenty of information. As it's a free entry museum please don't forget to donate money when leaving the building/ Enjoy.

If you are in the SLOANE SQUARE./CHELSEA, drop on by the NATIONAL ARMY MUSEUM .. ..
Shockingly great museum that definitely puts a lot of emphasis on post-service care/health .. .. Of course, the history of the Army is laid out beautifully .. .. I really liked the gallery dedicated to the Army's relationship with Germany .. ..
And, the museum is completely free! Don't missit!

Excellent visit. Well worth visiting. Been a while when I visited and so close the the Royal Chelsea Hospital. Definitely recommend

Visited for the first time , amazing building with so much to learn, well laid out and how it is presented you can see so much over the ages of how much the army has done, all ages would enjoy with inactive things for children. We can all have a little extra knowledge by visiting this museum. As a bonus it has a lovely cafe with a great range of food and drink. The staff are so welcoming and friendly , you won’t be disappointed, it’s one of the smaller museums and worth your time to visit. It’s free but donations are welcome

I re-visited the museum after a time, a time after the museum went through a renovation. It's very well done with a lot to learn from seeing the exhibits.

I went to the National Army Museum for the first time today (17th February). The staff were plentiful and helpful as far as I could see. The exhibits were interesting: I was intrigued to learn about Britain's role in West Germany post World War Two.
The only suggestion for improvement I had was to include headphone for some of the veterans' interviews: the galleries were quite noisy, with a combination of sound effects, and this made some of the interviews harder to hear - clash of noise.
Although the Battles Gallery wasn't open at time of writing, I plan to see this, once it re-opens, following a re-development.
Although the gift shop was quite good, I felt that you could do with a guidebook - maybe there is one, and I didn't see it?
Overall, well done!

Mediocre museum. A cafe’ with a museum, rather than the other way round. For a National museum, it’s disappointingly scarce on anything other than an overview. The top floor was closed off so maybe that’s where the changes are happening.

We had a couple of hours to kill so came here for lunch in the cafe which was excellent quality if slightly expensive. We then spent an hour or so walking round an exhibition covering the history of British occupation of Germany after WW2 ,- from for to friend. This was a very interesting exhibition.

You don't have to buy a ticket, period. There is no charge, however donations are encouraged. When we went to the National Army Museum we were coming from someplace else and walked there. When we returned to our hotel we took a cab to the underground and connected to our hotel. There is a very nice cafe on site with a good array of lunch options.

Hi. My boy is 5 and army mad, but gets very bored with text on walls, rather he would like to see exhibits, tanks, guns, bombs, that sort of thing. Is this a good place to travel an hour to?

Hi, I started taking my grandson at age 5, your boy sounds just like my grandson who never stops to read the signs! There’s a huge display of army vehicles in the grounds too and I’d say definitely worth an hour’s trip. We go every year. There’s a nice cafe and small play area upstairs. All in all plenty to look at.

Suggest about 3-4 hours.....very nice cafe there and 5* hotel style toilets.
