I visited Paternoster Square in July 2023 and it was very busy.
There are a couple of statues to admire and when I was there lots of other things were happening. There was a huge TV screen which was showing the cricket. There were stands selling drinks and snacks like ice cream. There were also deck chairs to sit on and relax. Even if you did not want to watch the cricket.
It's a stone's throw from St Paul's Cathedral but does not have the same tourist throng.

Paternoster Square is a nice small square surrounded by modern buildings.

Despite the fact that the Wild Table of Love sculpture was supposed to be in the square to May 2023, it is May 27 today and it is gone. We made the trip to the square to see the sculpture so it’s absence was disappointing. There is a shepherd with sheep sculpture in its place but, well, it was not the same.

Colazione in S’Pauls…non ha prezzo! Ci siamo recati in zona di prima mattina e nonostante fosse il lunedì di pasquetta c’era poca gente…in questo quartiere si respira la storia mista alle dinamiche economiche dei nostri tempi!! 🔝da vedere!!!

Financial district with lots of banks and investment funds, and London Stock Exchange is there! It is the business heart of London, and there are plenty of cafes and eateries. In the summer they put up the big screen with lots of outdoor patio seating for us to relax in and enjoy the sun.

We had a short trip to London and while there wanted to visit Paternoster Square to see the Wild Table of Love bronze statue.

Paternoster Square is a nice small square just behind of the St. Paul's Cathedral. It is a relatively new square surrounded by new office buildings.

A clean and pleasant redeveloped square / plaza that was completed in the Autumn of 2003. It is lined with buildings by Whitfield's firm and others and among the first new tenants was the London Stock Exchange. Standing off centre of the square is the 23m (75ft) tall 'Paternoster Square Column'. It is a Corinthian column made of Portland stone topped by a gold leaf covered flaming copper urn, which is illuminated by fibre-optic lighting at night. Also worth a look at the north end of the square is the bronze Paternoster sculpture, (also known as Shepherd and Sheep), by artist Dame Elisabeth Frink. The square sits in the shadow of the iconic St. Pauls Cathedral and is a nice place to visit and maybe take a short rest, seated around the column, when exploring the area.

A very pleasant public square surrounded by offices, shops and cafes. So interesting things to see in the square are The Flaming Orb Monument, the Temple Bar and of course St. Paul’s Cathedral is very close by.
Even though I've been to this square many time, it's the first visit since you know what and it's much nicer when it's quiet like this :-)

Being next to St. Paul's Cathedral it is of course not as impressive but still a very nice place with amazing buildings around and some shops and cafes. Worth a walk through when in the area.
