Lovely theatre in a good central location. Arrived a little early fo the matenee so went to the bar which was good, except for having only 6 seats, all taken when we arrived. My wife has a back problem and finds it difficult to stand for any length of time and so was uncomfortable. This one issue however did not detract too much from an otherwise good afternoon. Show was excellent

Booked to see the Fawlty Towers play at the Apollo. First impressions, it’s a very beautiful old fashioned theatre but smaller compared to others I’ve been to in London.
The seating is more cramped than in others and the view of the stage from the sides of the circle is partially restricted but legroom was adequate and the atmosphere good. Despite the restricted view it was a great experience and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Fawlty towers was a fabulous show and well suited to the size of the theatre. Highly recommended, go and see it before it closes in early 2025.

In the heart of the West End this theatre has a rich history and internally its traditional finish is there to see.
Bar facility is quite small and (naturally) prices are a bit over the top.
The show (Fawlty Towers) was excellent, especially made by the actor playing Basil who did an unbelievable job. Get tickets before the show ends (currently planned early 2025).

We came here to see faulty towers which was very entertaining, would thoroughly recommend a watch. However the theatre itself is lovely and quaint but seating and legroom is poor.If your taller than 5ft 5inches you're knees touch seat in front.

I am a wheelchair user and the whole experience was excellent.
Firstly the lady I spoke to at the box office was charming, it made a refreshing change from talking to an automated machine, to talking to a real person ! And although most theatres don’t charge for the Carer, it’s always a nice bonus
The theatre is old, but the lift to take me down to the stalls was absolutely fine, and the young lady, Holly, was so helpful, she is a brilliant asset to the theatre, she even came to ask me if I needed anything during the interval, Holly, you are a star!
Oh, I think I also ought to say that the play, Fawlty Towers was extremely funny, a great testament to the TV series .

Fawlty Towers Ticket Dress Circle F seat 10 does say ' restricted legroom' and it was, so I moved to an empty seat.
Great view, show in two parts, first half average with staggered laughs, second half tears running down face. Really good characters bringing the late 70s back to life
Nice venue staff, no idea why first can of kager was £5 but the next few were £6.50 for the same can.
Lack of toilets!! Huge queue at interval, yeah old building, but 4? urinals for the amount of folk is not enough today, with toilet in bar area meaning congestion. Staff fine.

Booked to see wicked in a couple of months. Strange question... anyone know how big the seats are? I have a rather large backside lol. And when I saw les mis a few years ago at queens the seats were so narrow it was very uncomfortable.
Skrevet 26. desember 2019
From what I remember they just seemed standard theatre seats. Give the theatre a email and check to see if they have any more comfortable seats.
Enjoy your trip.
Skrevet 26. desember 2019
Hi,
Hoping to see Wicked as a Birthday present.
Are there any good quality and recommended hotels close or nearby the theatre?
Which is the closest tube/ train station?
Thank you.
Skrevet 7. oktober 2019
I think your best bet is to google nearby hotels as no idea really. You could look for cheaper places and travel in by tube or bus othewise it will be very expensive.
Skrevet 20. oktober 2019
Depends on how you plan on getting there- it's about a 45 minute walk but if you plan on using the tube it's far easier, just take the southbound Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus!
Skrevet 3. august 2019
Do any seats/areas have more leg room than others? (not boxes) I have a very tall husband!
Skrevet 2. mai 2019
We were seated in the stalls and I am over 6feet tall and I had plenty of leg room
Skrevet 2. mai 2019
Hi,
Can some recommend a nice hotel close to the theatre?
I saw The Premier inn victoria is close but I am not sure.
Thank you
Skrevet 8. februar 2019
Th Apollo is right in the heart of London in the west end so pretty much any hotel will be suitable as wherever you stay there will be a tube that will take you there.

I am looking at booking row A of the the dress circle. Just want to know if it is restricted viewing on either the far left or far right?
Skrevet 9. november 2018
sorry I cant help you as we were in the stalls which were great seats.
Skrevet 10. november 2018
Hi, We want to go to see this fabulous musical. Which row is best for the stalls? Any advice? Also Weds matinee...will we get an understudy instead of the lead playing as Jamie? Thank you...we can't wait!!!
Skrevet 20. juli 2018
We went Wednesday matinee, and full cast so far as we were aware, with no replacements

Hi what are the views like from the boxes ?
Skrevet 15. april 2018
Hi. I used to be a theatre designer. I would strongly suggest avoiding boxes unless you need extra leg room. In most london theatres the boxes were designed to be seen in by the audience not to see the stage. Most of them face there audience slightly. Before electric lights theatres were lit by gas lamps and the house lights remained on during the performance. So if you were in a box you’d be seen throughout the show.
