It's a schlep to get there, but I enjoyed myself. You have to take the Tube all the way to the Walthamstow Central stop at the end of the Victoria Line. From there it's a 10-to-15-minute walk to get to the location.
I'm still not sure about admission price. I read somewhere that there was a charge. The day I went, no one seemed to be collecting money. I did have a cup of tea inside at the snackbar.
This place is a combination warehouse, museum, bar, restaurant and Instagram location all in one. Lots of classic rescued neon on display.
I'm glad I went, even though three other members of the people I was traveling with flat-out refused to go. It's definitely unusual and definitely different!
The walk to and from the warehouse took me through a lovely street full of nice-looking shops and restaurants where you can stop for a more relaxed, restaurant experience if that's what you want!

Liked this because I like signs and I particularly like neon lit signs. If you do too, you’ll like it. Staff are friendly, pictures are fun, it’s a unique place worth visiting. They do a great pina colada.

Absolut einen Ausflug wert, wenn man zur Generation Neon gehört ;). Dazu noch ein wirklich cooles Cafe mit realistsichen Preisen

L’endroit est juste magnifique, avec des néons de partout ! C’est assez excentré mais ça vaut le coup pour l’originalité.

An amazing place to visit if you are looking for something quirky and fun. Nice walk from Walthamstow Central station.
The Junkyard is located on an industrial area estate, with local brewers and street food stalls in the area. There is also an excellent cafe in the junkyard doing food and drinks.

Este lugar es completamente diferente y vale mucho la pena visitarlo aunque esté un poco retirado de los mayores atractivos de Londres. Excelente para tomar fotos divertidas de tantas luces neón que hay en todo el lugar. Tiene una pequeña cafetería y algunos souvenirs. ¡Mucho color!

Absolutely brilliant.
My teenage daughter was in instagram heaven and I was pleasantly surprised by how fascinating it all was and I spent around an hour just soaking up all of the neon art. A beautiful, unique place.
I would highly suggest to plan your day around coming here for a drink (either alcoholic or coffee) as the prices are very fair and it's a great place to sit and chat together, amongst the neon. Staff are lovely and you don't feel rushed at all. They serve everything from coffee to beers to cocktails and there are plenty of tables and seating areas to enjoy it in.

What an amazing find… We were totally blown away with the creativity here. No charge to have a look around but we did buy some drinks which were good and average price. This seriously is a must do, staff were friendly and it was a totally chilled out place

A surprisingly obscure place to find, but worth every second of the time spent.
With food and licensed bar available, with awesome cake this place is a must see hidden gem. The most fantastic display of neon signs, historic signage and memorabilia. A great experience for all.

A wonderful, one of a kind experience. The staff are friendly, the cafe is interesting if basic and the nachos and coffee were good. The neon signs are wonderful and fun and unusual. There are souvenirs as well at reasonable prices. It is a little way out of the centre of London, but well worth the journey.

It’s a lovely walk through Walthamstow village which is near the station and very safe particularly during the day. Everyone will smile and probably say hello to you!

They had cakes, coffee, and light bites. I had a toasted cheese sandwich. I'm not sure if the meat is halal.

Anyone visited on a Friday, is there plenty of parking? Lots of reviews say plenty of parking but just wonder as it’s an industrial estate if that’s Saturday/Sunday.

The parking spaces are clearly signalled as only for residents and there are many enforcement cameras, be cautious. Is better to park on the streets close to the entrance and go walking.

Renata, God's Own Junkyard is definitely worth it, if you have to be in the neighbourhood. I wouldn't go all the way to Walthamstow just for this but if you're there anyway, don't hesitate to stop by!
