The tour was arranged to share Wimbledon with a Friend from Brisbane who we met first at the AO in 2018.
It was well organized, and delivered at the right pace allowing plenty of time for pictures. The tour guides offering take family and group photos. That was a nice touch.
You see areas normally off limits such as the Players Lounge, The Members Lounge and The Press Centre, in addition to Centre Court, No. 1 and 18 courts , The Hill. The preparation of the courts is explained.
Moving to the Museum you hear and see exhibits about the history of the game, how rackets, balls and players kit have evolved. Towards the end you see the Women’s and Men’s Trophies.
You can spend as long as you like in the Museum.
To complete your visit there is a shop that sells souvenirs at all prices. The Wingfield Cafe opposite the Museum sells a range of food and drinks. You can eat inside or on an outside terrace.
Probably the best Museum and Tour experience I have enjoyed.

I recently did the guided tour with museum.

The lady taking us around was amazing. She gave us loads of information and we went into court 1 & centre court. Plus we saw little Nicky the robot mower on Henman Hill!

This is a must do tour if in London. The museum was full of loads of amazing stuff including the original trophies.

I got tickets for the “museum + Tour” there when I arrived; I did not book in advance & it was no problem getting tx on the spot for the 1:15 tour(Sunday in mid-April) when we arrived at 1pm. Quickest way is metro to Southfields station; also the shortest & mostly flat walk. We went back to our hotel via “Wimbledon”, as another poster said it was a scenic walk/town & it was however, this route was almost twice as long of a walk & UPHILL & 2 metro stops more.

90 min TOUR: Sara MADE the tour! She REALLY got you feeling like your were THERE at a match! Her personality & enthusiasm was amazing!! So friendly & easy to ask questions. She took TONS of pics for us all throughout the tour too!

Museum: we stayed for 1.5 hours & that was only doing the basic audioguide included in the $ (there were options to skip extra bits) it was VERY interactive: lots of hands on displays & competitive games to play!

Cafe: we ate lunch there. A tuna with cheese toastie & a ham/cheese toastie came to 13£ with free self serve water pitchers. The hot toasties came out in 2 min& with a salad!

Including shopping at the gift shop, lunch at the cafe, tour & museum, we were here for 4 hours. Once you initially pass security, you can go in & out of the museum & all of the grounds as you please with the armband they put on your wrist.

I bought a tour and museum ticket. After gathering in front of a shop selling towels and other goods, we started at No. 1 Court, went through the press room, which is closed to spectators, and then entered Center Court.
From my experience of actually watching the match, I felt that the tension was completely different, but the guide's explanations were also interesting for the fans, and it was unique to the tour that they were able to go into places where spectators were not allowed, so I really enjoyed the experience. Recommended for those who watched (or plan to) watch the game.
Since you'll be walking outside, it's best to do this during good weather or on a sunny day.

What a thrill for tennis fans! Our tour guide (Alfie) was phenomenal, answering all of our detailed questions. If you have grown up watching Wimbledon on TV, it's surreal to visit in person. He showed us every court, allowed us to soak in some time in seats at Centre Court and Court No. 1, took pictures of us in the media room, gave us insight into membership, future plans for the landscape, information on the grass, players' backstage areas, etc. 90mins well spent. Tour cost about £27. Note that there's a few things you cannot take with you on the tour. There is security who will give the items back to you on your way out.
The museum, located downstairs in the gift shot, is unreal. From the origins of the game to autographed branded apparel and equipment, it was a treat to see how the sport has grown into a global phenomenon.

Love tennis? Go to Wimbledon, even if the Grand Slam tournament is not going on. The 90-minute tour flew by because the guide covered so much history and took our group to Court 1, Court 18 (where the sports longest tennis match was played—more than 11 hours), gave an inside look at some of the facilities available to the players, and finally to Centre Court. The guides are knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to help take pictures. The tour ticket (£27) includes admission to the museum that is jam-packing with interest displays, video presentations, and, yes, lots of trophies. Wimbledon is easy to get to on the District underground train line and then it is an easy 15-minute walk to the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. There is a bus available if that walk is not possible.

The staff were friendly; tour guide very knowledgeable about the grass. sponsorship and membership. Spent about 15 minutes in total in court one and 18 and were allowed to sit on Centre court. Learnt not a lot about tennis - felt rushed through but you can go into the old media centre full of old computers and chairs WOW! Militarily marched around the site - with a security used to ensure you kept up - however he was friendly and answered questions - felt it was inconvenient and annoyed the guide if we asked !! Got to see the corridor the winners go through and the balcony from the platform opposite ( apparently the members restaurant) We did not see inside apart from a lounge -everything we were allowed to go into was being up dated somewhere else - if you have been to other stadiums b
e very disappointed - At Roland Garros we were allowed in the locker rooms and walked on to the main court via the players entrance Too expensive for what you see
The museum costs £15 - do not get the audio -you could fall asleep
And do not forget yo can not upset the members - As a British institution you should promote this lovely place and atmosphere - strawberries; Fred Perry; Andy Murray and the essence of Wimbledon
Not the membership - the horrendous waste of grass every year ( not environmentally friendly) the concrete jungle it has become

A little expensive, but nice. Interactive museum. Expensive, but fun tour. Relatively easy to reach, you take the metro and walk a bit.
