This place is quaint and interesting. Bit expensive to get in but I suppose that's because of where they are so hey ho. But once inside it really takes you back in time and you are bound to see some old favourites as well as lovely Victorian dolls and rocking horses. Building feels strangely creepy adding to the effect.

Two ladys behind the desk were nice (visited on 15th December at 1200). I used to live in Goodge St years ago so nice to see the area again.

Gift shop has some interesting bits for sale and looks like it's full of curiosities when you enter.

Well worth a visit.

I found this museum by accident, and I am very glad I decided to explore. The vast and interesting collection is almost too much to absorb in a single visit. A great deal of time and care has gone into curating the sprawling number of toys and games that are in display, and there is not a single wall or space that has not been used. It intrigued me to see toys and pastimes from the last two centuries, as well as be reminded of some of the toys and games lost in memory from my own childhood. Toys say so much about the time, culture and places they originate, and in some ways reflect the zeitgeist of their location. It's all housed in a beautifully ramshackle building, and the gentleman on duty at the desk when I ventured in was polite and helpful. I enjoyed this little detour and recommend it.

We loved this museum. As two 'oldish' codgers in our 60s, this brought back so many memories of toys and games from our childhood, which we'd forgotten about.

The museum is packed with items and memories in a couple of delightul old buildings full of atmosphere. The young man on the desk when we went in was charming, welcoming and very friendly.

This a little gem of a place, and we can thoroughly recommend it - I'm very surprised at the bad review on Trip Advisor.

We had purchased a London Pass prior to Covid and were not able to utilize it until this past month. Since the Pollack's Toy Museum was included in the London Pass, we took an opportunity to visit. It was not necessary to make an advance online reservation to visit and fortunately there was no long line, actually we were the only visitors during that time!!
It was easy to get there as the Northern Line Tube stops only a block away. It is a very small and narrow toy museum but it was a very nostalgic visit as it bought back many childhood memories. The clerk gave us a detailed descriptive map and it helped described the direction how to visit the museum along with great descriptions of the toys on exhibit. There were many dolls, cars, puppets, board games and teddy bears that were retired from years of being part of a child's life. Such a great place to bring back childhood memories!

I Had the absolute pleasure of donating my 1960's toy washing machine to this magical museum. The museum is filled to the brim with previously loved toys, all charmingly presented in the most wonderful 17th c house.

A beautiful hidden gem.
This a fabulous collection and a wonderful experience. The gift shop at the end was a lovely surprise and I managed to get a few nostalgic toys (wish we wernt so limited on luggage space else I would have bought a lot more!)
The place is small (which adds to the charm) but I can imagine it would be difficult to navigate when busy. There were 6 people in the museum at the time which was great as we were all in seperate rooms. I loved the way that there was one path to follow which ensured you didn't miss anything.
You simply must pay in cash to see the old fashioned till in use! This was a completely unexpected surprise! (they do accept card!) but cash just completes the experience.

We visited this family-run little Museum and Shop on our trip to Fitzrovia in London this Winter. We had such a warm welcome and the staff showed us around the fascinating collection, jogging so many childhood memories and we also learned about Toy Theatres, antique magic lanterns, folk toys, the history of games, dolls from around the world, dolls house furniture and so much! The re-vamped shop is fantastic and I was able to buy gorgeous unusual gifts made in Britain and some items even crafted locally by artists and makers. I could not resist getting myself souvenirs too.
Both inside and outside, the Museum looks stunning and it provided us with very beautiful photo opportunities. The shop-front is striking in green and red with jolly hand-painted murals and the interior is a must-see of eclectic-arty decor. Each room has a theme and the whole Museum and shop are full of collectables but familiar and extraordinary. This is all presented in a non-corporate way and seems to have been uncorrupted by nasty fashions. The Museum itself has a very interesting history and the staff are so committed to keeping the place alive. It is very inspiring indeed.
This was the highlight of our trip to London! I will be returning for more soon and looking forward to events and workshops at Pollocks Toy Museum with my friends and family. What a perfect place to meet up in London, as it is two minutes from the Godge Street tube stop. It was a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of the city centre. What a lovely place to visit and we were so pleased that we were able to enjoy, as part of our day out!

Brilliant! For gods sake don`t alter it one bit! If all some people are worried about is its antiquatedness and a bit of dust, well, my heart cries out to them.

Greatest asset is the fact that there is no digital interactive nonsense. One just uses ones own senses and wonderment at it all. Long may it continue.

This museum is a delight for all ages. Went with a 4 and 8 year old. The colour in trail kept the younger occupied and the questions were great for the older. Lovely staff. This is a must see.

We went during the summer and the owner was very kind to our kids, giving them lots of time and answering all of their questions. Thank you!
