A visit to the Brian Clarke exhibition was simply awesome.
It was really interesting to see the various techniques and has inspired me to try some at our stain glass window evening class.
The Gallery, only 0.7 mile from Vauxhall and ideal for this type of art with all the staff welcoming and knowledgeable.

Just been to see Brian Clarke's exhibition, and his work was absolutely stunning . I would be happy to hqve any of the work at my home, especially the screens.
We also like the architecture of the museum.
The gallery is free, so every time we go, we are amazed that it is not busier

Rather isolated, but if you make the effort you'll find a good size gallery with 6 big rooms, friendly staff and a nice presentation. I liked the stained glass exhibition there.

Guy is an absolute (very rich) phoney, churning out complete crap for the “enlightened” art aficionados, he is no more of an artist than a hen has teeth.

Blonde worker with glasses on 2nd floor absolutely awful. Came on 29th of September 2022. Will add photos of her. She should be fired. She was absolutely horrible ruined my experience and took the mick out of me having photos. Shouted at us saying we were too close to the artwork and we were know where near it. She then watched us the whole time. Very uncomfortable and then told all the other memebers of staff to watch us. DONT BOTHER EVER COMING TO THIS GALLERY.

An expensive renovation of a once-theatre scenery workshop meaning it has huge open spaces and high ceilings; 3,400 square meters, six exhibition spaces – one with a ceiling height of 11 metres – split over two levels.
These spaces with mandatory white gallery walls can dwarf the innovative exhibitions often shown here, exhibitions you won't see at the north shore big name galleries. This gallery tends to have low volume throughput so can feel lifeless, the staff are as bored as heck and uncommunicative. It's a shame there is a lack of imagination to sweat this great asset and make it a must-visit London destination.
Yet a short easy walk from Parliament over Lambeth Bridge, worth the trip, if the exhibition of the day interests you.

An exhibition solely of his own work..just superb. If you are a fan, you cant miss this. The gallery itself is such a delight, shame the cafe is shut though. 50 of his own works and laid out with plenty of space so you can appreciate them.
This is a dont miss.

I suppose it was inevitable that Damien Hirst would one day use his Newport Street Gallery to exhibit his own work. Whether this was because Covid-19 created a gap in his programming I know not. But given the prevalent theme of death in so much of his work from the pickled fish to decomposing animal heads in plastic boxes swarming with flies and the cabinets of potentially lethal drugs this exhibition seems timely. But whereas all of this material once had a cutting edge effect what was the shock of the new is now the repetition of the passé. And the calf’s head dripping in ketchup all seems terribly tame in stark contrast with the grim reality of the mounting deaths in the immediate world outside. More diverting was the female staff member brushing non-existent detritus from the floor into a pan. Not sure what point was being made but it distracted attention from the other banalities on display.

Set up or run by British artist Damian Hirst, this gallery is situated in a rather quiet area not far from tube station Vauxhall.
I was there when it opened in the morning, and I was the only visitor for at least half an hour.

This place was the highlight of my trip to London! I want along time see the “disinformation” paintings by John Squire. I am so impressed by these paintings. It was fantastic to see them up close.
I recommend a visit to the pharmacy while there, they will sort you out ;)
