This cathedral has quite an intimate feel to it. Beautifully kept, of course, and really interesting to read the tomb stones, etc. throughout the visit.

I have been in the Cathedral many times but at the moment it looks very beautiful for Remembrance day. Fantastic poppy display and moving poetry by Wilfred Owen read on 11th. The staff and volunteers are lovely. Super coffee shop and gift shop. Trams and buses stop outside

Too loud for the neighbourhood. The bell does not go off at night time or even early morning it keeps going to at least 40 minutes all along.
Very disrespectful to the rest of the community!!!!!! People need rest after their long shifts of work or studying…not a bell ringing in their head!!

Heading to The Three Tuns Pub we passed Catholic Church Of St Peter and St Paul and decided to have a nose around the church and well kept grounds .
Although the church we see today was constructed in the Victorian era parts of the church actually date from 1200.
Originally a parish church it was elovated in 1914 to cathedral status and is known as Sheffield Cathedral.
Over the years many architect's have contributed to the development of the cathedral, Floctor & Gibbs in the 1870's , Charles Nicholson from 1936 - 1948 and finally Ansell & Bailey 1960 - 1966 .
The church itself is fantastic to view, the stonework, the tower and spire look amazing, the well kept church grounds are interesting, the tombstones ,the statue of James Montgomery, its a church ( cathedral ) that I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area and easy to locate along Church Street.

Went to see the Leaves of Hope installation which was very beautiful. The Cathedral felt very safe with the necessary social distancing etc. It was sad to see it so empty. Staff friendly, nice shop. Thought provoking display, so glad I went.

When we visited we were so lucky to get a guided tour from the Chaplain. He was so informative about the history of this cathedral and learned so much. This cathedral had three parts to it each with its own story. One off the most unusual we have seen. Situated at the beautiful Cathedral Square

Anglican Cathedral built over several centuries. Mix of Gothic and Modernist Styles. It is located near the Catholic Cathedral. Close to the city centre, it does have tramway stop.

I was visiting my son in Sheffield, and just fell upon this stunning Cathedral.
Not only is it an outstanding building, but internally it’s truly magnificent. Also the grounds are also well tendered.
