Have used a couple of time - all staff are absolutely brilliant. So friendly, funny and informative.
We were both nervous but felt safe throughout. Had never done the paddle boarding before but would recommend!!
Shout out to Steve for making us fall in the water 😁 so refreshing and no where near as scary as we thought!
Will be returning in the near future.

We have taken lessons with Byron before, and he is excellent. This time we went out, accompanied by Emma, and Grace on a Dragon Board trip. We really enjoyed it, and the team here are not only professional but very friendly and good fun.

I had a brilliant time with Byron and Mark when I did the 2 hour beginner SUP lesson. I learnt loads, had a lot of fun, was totally exhausted and exhilarated at the end! Great instructors, really focused on ensuring you feel comfortable on the paddle board. Importantly, I now feel confident going out on the water, not only in terms of paddle boarding, but also being safe. Highly recommend.

We said we'd return in my last review, and we have, and will again. My Dad, brother and I visited again yesterday 27th May. This time with my teenage nephew along for the experience. It was great to see Byron and Emma again who seemed equally as excited to see us, as we were them. Byron tailored our session on what we wanted to cover. He refreshed us on the skills we'd learned from him last time and covered the all important life-saving and rescue skills with my nephew. Byron set us fun family challenges and allowed us to experience the fun of the dragon board. I stand by what I said before if you want to learn to paddle board, forget the rest and learn from the best! Thank you CK SUP & Paddle we'll see you soon!

Great experience for my first paddle boarding lesson. Byron and Steve were keen to make sure my solo session was safe, informal and fun. Would definitely do it again. Such a great day!

What an amazing fun lesson we had with CK yesterday. These guys are so safety conscious they made sure we were going to be safe on the water not just for the lesson but for the future. Byron was incredibly patient and by the end of the class had my plus sized and unfit daughter standing. If Id had a class with them when we first started paddling a year ago Id have saved myself hundreds of hours in the gym “getting ready” to stand! Big shout out to Emma as well, not just great with advise & help but took so many photos. She was also fantastic looking after our staffy while we were on the water and with Byron helped us get him confident enough to come out on the dragon board with us.
I should also mention that the location is perfect with a gentle launch, spotlessly clean with space to change. The wildlife is incredible, kingfishers, herons and woodpeckers if you’re really lucky.
We really can’t thank you enough for a truly memorable day and skills that will last a life time.

Huge huge thank you to Byron, Mark and Emma! 10 of us headed out on the water on a fresh March morning in 2 Katukanu's for a hen party and it was brilliant fun. Byron had us doing quizzes, singing, racing and even got our hen standing up on a paddleboard for the first time ever (she was totally buzzing about this!). They took loads of pictures of the group throughout the experience and kept the whole group laughing throughout. A great company and great instructors - cannot rate highly enough.
