Well well well, what can I say, if you enjoy the smell of ammonia in its purest form and prematurely activating arthritis you are in for a real treat my friends.
Let me begin with arriving, after making our way to our tent with the entire contents of our four bedroomed house my fiancé decided to bring we headed on into the festival. The first hurdle, and by that I’m being gracious, was the sheer mount olympus we had to scale from worthy view.
On average be prepared to walk 5000 miles and walk 500 more, literally 30000 steps averaged, oh and by the end of it if you haven’t inverted your ankle on the bark that is scattered like hundreds and thousands, you’re onto a winner.
The hygiene standards of people can only be attributed and compared to warthogs, people truly are filth wizards. (Shazam and the toilets are full of baba kaka).
On Friday, as the sun arose over the dung hill, I was awoken by a man sat in the chair next door, biting his toe nails and continuing to chew said toe nails for 10 minutes before spitting them at his own tent.
Friday afternoon quickly came and after developing plantar fasciitis from making the pilgrimage to the centre stage, we decided to buy some drinks. This is where the pain spreads to the bank balance, having spoken to the bank and remortgaging the house in order to afford a round of drinks, we bimbled to TLC. This is where we saw some of the worst of human socialisation. We witnessed a man urinating mid show in the middle of the field, stopping only to apologise for drenching the back of the gentleman’s trousers who unfortunately found himself in front of this degenerate.
Saturday night brought further treats of delight, as we laid in our tent, we could hear monsieur toe nails and the two stooges ruffling, laughing and setting some sort of contraption up. Then, as it went quiet, our tent was spontaneously illuminated, momentarily thinking it was the flames from Arcadia. Quickly realising this wasn’t the case as a roar of laughter came from the 3 musketeers, I scrambled out of the tent to the image a man on his back like a tortoise while his two mates set his flatulence alight.
Coming to a close the festival was tolerable, but the amount of trash and rubbish that people drop is horrendous, it felt like walking through steptoe and sons gaff.
Overall ok experience, not sure I would do it again

This is to review The Bath Organic Farm's food truck selling produce from their own farm.
Im not a big burger person but someone recommended the food.
I had the double cheeseburger with slaw & a portion of chunky chips.
A bargain for Glastonbury.
I would have given 5 stars but the burger was a bit dry ( prepared earlier and kept warm ?? )

This used to be a significantly smaller 'festival' with 1500 attendees in 1970. 12000 nine years later but 200,000 by 2019. The original site covered less than 50 acres but now extends to 900 acres.
If visiting then it is worth bearing in mind that a 2017 study showed that the
Environmental impacts are :
1) The physical soil degradation from trampling means the land requires a year off every six years or so. Recent “fallow” years include 2012 and 2018 (BBC News, 2016)
2) High energy consumption – over 120 generators are required, with a 2014 study showing that many of them were inefficient because they were oversized (Powerful Thinking, 2017).
3) Whilst some renewable energy can be used it is not significant - in the Green Fields coordinators camp a 1.5 kW solar unit (plus 22 kWh of battery storage) has been used to supply steady energy (Powerful Thinking, 2017).
4) Around two thirds of the visitors arrive by car, causing traffic congestion, air pollution and a continuing problem with litter and materials left behind. However this is a complex issue and no comprehensive study has been done.
5) Noise pollution: some individuals have claimed that the festival can be heard over 8km away (Newman, 2017)
So have a fun time but don't pretend this is an 'environmentally friendly' event.

I have been and worked it 3 times, I love it and really missed it this year.
Re Glastonbury Feedback 2020
We were all disappointed that Glastonbury 2020 did not take place in the usual way but I have felt as high as a kite over the last week following last weekend’s TV coverage and old footage and feel compelled to give you and The Michael Eavis Team feedback.
Absolutely outstanding coverage and I was glued to the TV / catchup all weekend! It blew me away from start to finish. To think how it all started, developed and grew from a farmer who just wanted to pay his mortgage off and had passion for music was fascinating and there is no question that there would not be the rich culture, talent, art, freedom of speech I feel if it was not for people like Michael Eavis. There would be no Bowies, Adele’s, Ed’s, etc., Michael has had a significant impact on the 19th and 20th century and he did it his way.
I found the David Bowie Gig of 2020 outstanding and it’s unbelievable to think that was 20 years ago!
I congratulate you and the Glastonbury team for last week’s coverage on music, mud, and magic, you have all made a massive contribution to music and the world arts.
I watched the life of Marc Bolan on Friday, I so wish I could have seen and felt that velvet covered car he cruised in, that Michael was chastised for touching
Fingers crossed for next year’s event.
Thanks, Diane Ashton

brilliant festival but not as good as it used to be too many normal type people too many cops too much phone coverage to many glow sticks and novelty hats. still much better than the other big festival republic events. toilets are good it runs 24hr for 5 days and your allowed to light fires and cook your own food drink your own booze etc. stay away from the piano bar its over rated.

Worth the angst of trying to get through the booking process. A well organised, safe festival with top class acts and loads of extra activities to watch and try. Yoga after breakfast to limber up for the day, hit the Green fields for a crafty activity break, lunch with cocktails and to identify your must-sees performers, miss some of the must-sees for tripping across must-do's, watch them with awe, and onto the next peformance, then stagger to a dance tent until the early hours and fall into bed. Repeat for the next 3 days!

We were lucky to get 3 day tickets having been unsuccessful in 2017. As locals 3 miles away from the festival, we have to try for them same as everyone else as always gutted when we can’t go but listen from our garden
Once again a brilliant 3 days with something for everyone. We spent Friday going around all the fields and discovering new and local bands and browsing the stalls. Plenty of water aid stops everywhere and a great variety of food on sale. Being local we do love our cider and this year it was our local Shepton Mallet cider on sale.
Made a change for it to be a hot, sunny festival reaching 90 degrees on the Saturday.
Sunday was heaving and much busier the previous days due to the addition of the Sunday ticket arrivals. Got so packed that we couldn’t move around the pyramid stage and had to stay for Kylie, not fans, but glad we have seen her perform
We travelled in and out every day by motorbike and plenty of secure parking for the bike albeit they moved it this year, quite a hike to the entrance
Hoping we will be lucky to get 2020 tickets- knocking up 25 pilton festivals for my hubby

We just took money, phones etc out but left the rest in the tent. We purposely made it a tip, throwing stuff all over and emptying ruck sacks. We slept ( not that we slept much) with all our valued stuff at the bottom inside our sleeping bags. We couldn't get tickets this year and we tried. Have a wonderful time it's amazing.

Gostaria de saber qual o aeroporto mais próximo do festival. E como chego, se tem traslado ou outro transporte. Tem hotel na mesma cidade em que acontece?
