Dette er Storbritannias mest berømte musikkfestival, og det er et virkelig race for å tak i en av de 170 000+ billettene til Glastonbury når de legges ut for salg. Festivalen startet i 1970 som et lite arrangement, der du minglet med kyrne og fikk gratis melk mens du så T Rex på scenen etter å har betalt 12 kroner. Etter det har festivalen endret seg til å bli årets musikkbegivenhet. Alt sammen strømmes på TV, dekkes av utallige radiostasjoner og snakkes om i ukevis. Oh my god, I can’t BEGIN to describe how magical Glastonbury Festival is! Even for an 11 year old, it’s an amazing festival.

Visited Glastonbury for the music festival last year. It’s the 5th time I’ve been lucky enough to go to the festival and it’s an amazing place. It is without doubt the best festival in the world and we’ve had many great times here. Hopefully I’ll be picked to go again one day

What an over rated commercial show.
Overpriced with Greedy organisers blaming inflated overheads.
Simply head for smaller festivals that are less overcrowded and more of an intimate experience.
Glastonbury has s..ked for the last 25 years but they have to put prices up recently because they missed out during COVID.

On the upside , the creativity , the ideas , the art , are all amazing , all the cabaret , the circus and theatre , the sculptures and exhibitions, the variety of stages, it's all excellent , but the herding and crowding are really intimidating for someone with mobility issues, but the all pervading booming of the bass on the DJ stages into the small wee hours of the night render any sleep impossible sadly , it overwhelms everything , could they not just turn down the bass a little after 2 am , just a little , please !

My last Glastonbury, I'm sad to say. It's not only overcrowded, corporate , a lot of showing off values they don't see to abide by. Now the music ! People love pop, not all people with boom boom boom, noise everywhere, no one dancing, all the pop bands got relegated to small stages that got overcrowded!! Sugar babes was simply a death trap. 1 incident could sparked a crush or stampede. Shame on you junior Eves!!! Greed to it's core and very poor management. At night you have no option but the dark side ( Shangri-la) more boom boom boom music both no meaning, no cheese , no classic club anthems. I'm sticking to small festivals, shame as I'm somerset boy and Glastonbury has been a big part of my life but it's time to move on and leave the corporate sell outs behind.

OK. Spent 15k to get to Glastonbury. Tickets and lodgng at Pop up hotel.
I'm summary, I haven't seen a single concert. The first try was Jayda G, but after trying to get access to the stage we had to revert back as the access became impossible because of crown. The second tentative was sugar babe, the organisation closed access to the stage because of crowd. Then we tried Cindy Lauper, we ended up on the hill away for the scene as we were not ready to fight the crowd, again same issue with Coldplay. We tried a couple of DJ at night but impossible as que queue would have been over an hour. With my tickets we had access to the hospitality area, less crowded for food but still busy to end up with terrible food. Lodging was OK with a hut, the hut offer private shower and toilets. But for a price around 1K per night.
At the end dongto Glasto. You can buy individual concerts tickets and see your favorite performers in a more civilised place.
Prefer to visit Glastonbiru outside the festival. A beautiful part of England.

I left this morning. Absolutely shocking.
The Palestine flags and merchandise selling was too much and when I said no thank you they called me a dirty Jew. One of the guys with a headscarf followed me back to my told and told me I wouldn't sleep well tonight.
Absolutely devastated.
This shouldn't be about politicians or race wars. It's about music :(
What happened to this magical place.
Why has it been invaded by hate?
I spoke to security and they had someone come and help me. They were awesome and your staff were brilliant and understanding why I had to leave. But I know I won't get a refund.
This has been one of the worse experiences of my life all because I didn't want to buy a Palestine wristband.

I used to go to Glastonbury when there was an edge to it, across all known and unknown bands, it lost that years ago. I wouldn't even jump the fence (like you could) for free to even bother with this, when you get the pop band Coldplay headlining every other year how the mighty have fallen!

Had such an incredible time at Glastonbury 2023 that will be back this Summer and can't wait. We stayed at Inner Sanctum glampsite which was so magical. Brilliant food, the team are amazing, hot tubs and massages on site!
The hospitality and kindness they showed made our stay at Inner Sanctum wonderful. It's a shuttle bus or a medium walk away - which meant it was such a peaceful oasis!
Such a brilliant festival. We will be back again this summer and cannot wait! Bring it on.

We actually go in 2019 but I not create the account to be able to review then. We've got lucky to join the festival that time. 3 of us be able to book the ticket online as we all know not easy to get the chance for it. Start with the the set up on each stage are amazing. The gigs line up for the band and show are a load to be see. A lot of walking around but on the way also a lot of thing to be seen so never get bore. Come to the night even better with the light show on stages. With the food trucks got many choices to go for. 3 of us we've found our favourite food and more of the choice that we never had before. We wish we could make a miracle to go back to the festival again. One of inspire our son to start on the music production and get in to the DJ after seeing 2 of the highlight show. Fatboy Slim and Idris Elba. Billie Eilish is another show we love. And much more! And we're lucky because no rain (a spray only) so mostly stay dry on that time we there.

Hi, I definitely looking to go in 2024 if I can afford it (I know it's not cheap) but I would like to get a rough idea of how much a cheap camper van for 2 friends with a toilet would cost.

Re Glasto Campervan parking on site.
What facilities are open on the Tuesday when campervan parking opens from midday? Just toilet facilties with it being day before official opening?

Last year, there were several posts at the time on Facebook about people who had had stuff stolen from their tents. Later that day we saw some people being aprehended by security (ie tackled to the ground - assume they were carted off, didn't wait to watch!)
There is no need to leave anything valuable in your tent. Use the free lockups which you can find around the site. You can go back and forth to put stuff in/get stuff out, and you won't have the stress of worrying about it. A good idea anyway as it means you don't need to carry extra cash and cards around all day with the possibility of losing them if you party too hard!!! :D
