A fascinating time bubble. The building itself goes back to Norman times and the exhibits cover other centuries. The clocks and watches were our favourite but there is material for those interested in the more gruesome aspects of Breitish history.

Really enjoyed looking round here, particularly the street art exhibition, which included a good number of works by Banksy. Permanent collection on the tiop floor is also worth a look. Not expensive to visit and they have a delightful giftshop. Right in the city centre.

Very old building in the market square which was holding an exhibition. Staff on entry were very helpful, as it is an old building some uneven floors and stairs - just in case disabled or people unsteady on their feet visit
Interesting exhibits as well as the main exhibition

Staying in Sudbury so booked tickets to see this fabulous modern art exhibition and we were not disappointed
Although a small venue everything was set out so we could see everything
There were Banksys , Tracy Emin and a particular favourite the Conner brothers
We absolutely loved this incredible exhibition and felt the £4 entrance fee was brilliant value for money

We were in Sudbury for a weekend break. We got on the local bus to Bury St Edmunds which was a pleasure in itself through all the lovely villages & towns. Arriving we went for our 12 o'clock spot at the Museum for the Modern Art collection. Absolutely fabulous. They had quite a few Banksy ,Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin & the Connor brothers,I love them as they are very reminiscent of Vettriano
With their glamorous sexy women & the pictures have such provocative titles.it was a superb exhibition & I am so glad we went to see it.

Great little place - more inside than you might expect. The staff were amazing - I didn't catch the lady's name at reception but she was really helpful and considerate. She was also kind enough to call the curator (Alex) who talked me through some of the display items - including the museum's most notorious book!
Well recommended!

Visited the Moments exhibition today. What a pleasure to see so many well known artists exhibiting in this museum. Although a small venue the artworks were thoughtfully displayed and information about the artists and works was easily accessible. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and an added bonus was the bargain entrance fee !

Moyse's Hall might be excellent for some things, but as a venue for modern art, it felt too crammed in. The other problem is that Banksy et al taken out of context seemed rather amateurish and reminiscent of an art school graduation exhibition, with each trying to outdo the other in terms of cleverness and witticisms. Banksy is a master of the graffiti politik oeuvre, of course, but it's easy to forget artists like Blek Le Rat who was making social comment on the streets of Paris long before Banksy put aerosol can to stencil. Banksy's work has some artistic merit - albeit in a strictly two dimensional way - but the same can't be said for the artistically impoverished Tracy Emin whose 'work' was also being exhibited. Taken as a whole, it was all a bit meh for me.

Hi I have a vintage 1950s dress made by my daughter. It is very fresh and pretty but looks terrible on both of us. It would look great on a slimish dummy. Would you like to seeit? Would you have any use for such an item? I will send a photo if you like but it will look better on a dummy. Yours Annette Kilworth
