Called in here two or three times. Nice site and friendly little cafe, all with some great views.
Main drawback for us is the amount of dogs and dog mess. We were one of the very few people without dog(s).
The walks would be great, if not for having to spend most of the time looking down to make sure you don’t step in it or one of the dog bags that lazy b*****ds just throw away. What with that and owners that can’t control their pets and find it highly amusing when they run up to and jump up at people.
Just keep the damn things on a short lead if you can’t control them and clean up responsibly for everyone’s enjoyment of a lovely place.

Waseley is great for walks and views. Bring your boots as can get muddy on trails. Play area for younger children.
Car park has now got a pay and display machine. Doesn't take cash only contactless or card.
Coffee shop is currently closed and says closed until further notice.

Went for a walk around the hills in spring and it was stunning. The bluebell walls are absolutely stunning! Take your camera and go for a wander. The downside is there's a lack of markers along the way so it's really easy to get lost and we had to ask some people as we'd lost the path. More markers would be a good idea. There's a nice cafe by the car park and amazing views from the top of the hill. A lovely day out for a good walk!

Excellent place to run and walk about. Lovely scenery. That's why we set up the Waseley Wobbler here. Come and join us in September and save a bit for that final hill.

Great walks through a lovely country park, but the real star was the cafe with amazing sausage rolls and hot chocolate.

Free parking today. Not sure why but the machine was covered over. Had a good walk. We stayed high as the lower paths were probably very muddy due to all the rain and the number of people walking
Great walk. Not too many people as it was a week day
Toilets open. Had take away hot chocolate and a HUGE piece of yummy carrot cake
Plenty of out door seating

Came here a few times, not sure if I’m going the wrong way but there aren’t many proper paths so you end up tramping through fields a lot.
Good parking and plenty of picnic tables if you bring your own.
The cafe in an old barn looks great but can only serve takeaways at the moment. We had breakfast sandwiches hot drinks and cakes , for two approx £12 so not bad.
You can even borrow a blanket, nice touch.

We always bring our grandkids here. So much space. Good play area
Cafe well adapted to Covid offering takeaway only. Even loan you blankets to keep you warm
Parking £2.50 all day. Cash only
Car park can get full at weekends as everyone is looking for something to do in lockdown 2!
Highly recommend

How can you find out what fields the cows are in beforehand?

II don’t like walking in fields where there are cows and did see some notices displayed around the place. Not sure how you would find this out before your visit though.
Aside from a cafe what facilities does it have?
Are there toilets or a children's play area?
Elaine182016

Yes toilets and play area. I think the toilets are opened at 9am.
I am planning to visit in the evening when the car park would be closed. Can you advise where it would be safe to park nearby??

Afraid I don't know because it's not the sort of thing I need to notice. I'll check next time I go.
