Saw The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel .
First half slow and voices of minor actors inaudible. Screens with "subtitles" too small for a basically elderly audience
Second half far more lively. Older actors projected their voices better and this is desperately needed on a stage that is as deep as this one. Younger actors often spoke too fast
Young actors on this stage for the first time need better advice on projection of voice

We went to see Wind in the Willows on Boxing Day, which was an excellent performance. The costumes were amazing and the acting was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Although we live in Winchester now, the Festival Theatre will always have a special place in our hearts and it is a special place to return to.
Thank you to all who performed in the play - excellent job, well done!

I went to see the Christmas concert by the Royal Marines and Chichester choir, which was brilliant. My mum and dad also liked it as well. It got us into the spirit of Christmas. I would recommend people to go and see next year.
Also they get us involved in singing as well as they give us a Christmas song sheet with iconic Christmas songs to sing that is fun to do.

Went for first time to see ' Mrs Warren's Profession'. The main star was not available due to illness. This was not the problem.
The play was very dated and the scenery rather infantile.
The acting was frankly amateur and much of the dialogue inaudible.
Surprised that the seating was rather uncomfortable, with very little leg room.
It was so bad, we left at the interval. A waste of £80!

I have visited this venue on several occasions over a number of years. I have been to a number of plays here and always enjoyed my visit.
The theatre itself is well designed, spacious, and seats arranged such that nearly all of them give fine views of the stage. Naturally some offer better viewing than others, and this is reflected in the cost of tickets.
Theatre these days is never a cheap experience, but the quality of performance is always strong. The company offer a diverse range of productions ranging from intense Russian drama, to light hearted comedy and seasonal offerings of Panto and similar.
There are always stewards on hand to greet and direct and refreshments of various kinds are always available before performances and during intervals.
Always a very worthwhile and entertaining visit. Heartily recommended

We visited the theatre for the second time this season.
This time in the Minerva Theatre, this theatre is lovely small and has a great view from every seat.
The show Local Hero was great and all the staff were helpful and friendly. It was our first time using a wheelchair space at this theatre.
The whole experience was excellent.

Excellent backstage tour showed how a play was put together, from scenery and props to costumes and wigs, plus the detailed planning which must go into each production. Guides - both managers - were enthusiastic about their workplace, and explained everything of how a theatre works.

Not sure what to expect then had a quick Google in the morning to see it had a fair amount of music/songs, bit worried.

Went to Chichester Festival Theatre for the first time last weekend to see a splendid production of Crazy for You. What a totally delightful helpful theatre, one of the best I have been to. It was so easy to book and living in Leeds they can send the tickets to you and include much needed information. Once there the theatre is set in beautiful surroundings with two excellent cafes and a restaurant as well. You can set out on deckchairs in the gardens and all the staff were so kind. Inside the Theatre is spotless and for one with such a high reputation the ticket prices are incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend a visit

Staff super helpful and friendly. Particular shout out for the bar manager...excellent cocktail and appreciated the chefs pork scratchings!

You pay up to 8.00pm be about 80p-£1 depending on when you arrive, thats northgate carpark by the theatre, take change

This varies with the production when scenery projects from one side on occasions. With some productions, sider seats furthest from the centre are not on sale, if this is considered to be a problem. 8+ seats in from the end should see you safe.
Is there a stage door and are you allowed to meet cast members?

HI yes, there is a stage door, but as to meeting cast members I am unsure. We have seen a few as they leave or meet family and friends in the foyer. Sorry not a great deal of help. Have fun when you visit.

It's a council car park and nothing to do with the theatre. It is a pay and display, even in the evening so be sure to display a ticket. Prices change upwards often so take plenty of change with you. Regards G

I am not sure which show you are enquiring about, but we currently have two running. Half A Sixpence is 2 hours 45 minutes including one interval, FRACKED! is 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval.

An Ideal Husband was part of our season last year and we have no plans to revive it this year. You can see full details of what will be playing during your visit on our website. We have just announced a new production called Mrs Pat starring Penelope Keith which will be in our Minerva Theatre from 15th October-7th November.
