Had a brilliant afternoon at the Playhouse watching Snow White. Children and adults all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Visited while on a business trip and had an evening to myself. My kids are involved in local Theatre with Centre Stage in Kingwood, Texas, and I work a little on sets and props behind the curtain. The show was Abigail's party in a little studio theatre. I think they have a larger venue for larger shows. Five of the local Bradford Players were acting and all were skilled, top notch talent. It wasn't my favorite script, but the Players did a great job taking me back to the 70's with acting, sets, all of it. This was a gem and a memory I will treasure from this trip. I loved the trippy little bar/lounge set up for before the show and intermission. Thank you very much for letting me take my cup home as a souvenir! As promised it will make it's way on social media here as soon as my actor son will give it back!

This theatre is smaller than I expected but it's a very pleasant place. The prices of food and snacks is far cheaper than I'd expect for a theatre, which was nice. There's a nice little bar downstairs with comfortable seating to relax before shows and during intervals.
There's only 2 toilets in the women's which can be a problem in intervals and I'm not a huge fan of the frosted glass on the cubicle doors.

On first impressions of the Playhouse I thought it was very shabby and run down and in dire need of National Lottery funding.
The bar area was interesting......more shabby than chic.
That said, the warmth and friendliness of all the staff was really nice and I was impressed how they took particular care and attention to people with mobility issues etc.
The pantomime itself was excellent, great cast especially Buttons who gave Billy Pearce a run for his money.
The drinks in the bar and ice cream in the interval were very sensibly priced I thought.
I thought it was really lovely that the cast were down in the bar after the show posing for photos etc - a really lovely touch.
I only booked my ticket a few days before the show after reviews from work colleagues and I am really glad I went - a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

I was at shuttle shuffle festival in a working capacity, and was stationed in the playhouse. I had never been in before, and was not expecting what met me.
Vintage decor throughout, with a fresh twist, and lots of modernisation has been taking place, but it feels in keeping with the original building.
The bar is a great little place, and I’m a big fan of what they’ve done in there. The actual theatre is stunning, and although a little tired in places, it all adds to the charm. The studio is cosy and perfect for smaller spoken word and comedy performances. Plus there’s a plethora of other hidden areas throughout the building, including dressing rooms, a sewing room (but with no actual sewing) and more. It took me the whole weekend to get my head around all the corridors back of house, but as a fully functioning theatre with various areas, that is to be expected.
The staff are 100% accommodating and inclusive, and really know their territory and how everything works. Had a great weekend with them all. Can’t wait to go back and work with them some more, I literally fell in love with the place! (Which is quite the achievement!)

Excellent music festival championing lots of local talent. Terrorvision’s Tony Wright stole the show with a fabulous set of music and storytelling. Great to see local festivals.

Went to see my goddaughter perform for her dance school. The theatre is really quirky and different. Loved it there.

Was a bit sceptical because not been to playhouse for years but Lady in the Van tonight was superb. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Quirky interior and bar are spot on for this type of theatre. Will definitely go again.

I recently held my 60th birthday party at the Bradford Playhouse, in the bar. It is an ideal venue for such an event, its vintage, quirky feel was perfect! The bar has reasonable prices and the food was amazing. They can offer a range of buffets, I went for a mixture of hot and cold food and everyone commented on how nice it was. Megan and Carl were really accommodating and I would definitely have an event here again.

Hi, The nearest car park is just across the road from the theatre & costs £3 per day.
