A very peaceful nature reserve for the wildlife, providing ideal habitat for many species Lapwings, Teals, Shoveler ducks, Wigeon, Gadwalls, Spoonbills, Bearded Tit's in the reedbeds as well as Reed Bunting, Great Crested Grebe, Stonechat, Tufted Ducks, Coots, Moorhens and Swans the species here is vast. The park was very very windy as the afternoon progressed on my 2nd visit, the parths are very, very long and there are many routes through the park you can take which can be very, very muddy.
Popular place with dog walkers, people exercising or just wantting to be at peace among nature. Free entry apart from the £4 car park charge which is for 24 hrs.

We live local so visit regularly and never disappointed. Always have a fantastic walk with our dog. Dogs have to stay on their lead due to wildlife in the area.

We often see a lot of wildlife ranging from birds to deer. It can get quite muddy though

Enjoyed a stroll round the park and saw some birds that I have never seen before. Also heard the elusive Bittern but not lucky enough to see it. stopped and had an ice cream which topped the day off. Recommended.

A phenomenal place to visit. Spoonbills made our day.
There is a slight problem in lack of clear signposting on site. Perhaps colour coded walkway route marks could be used. There are miles of paths, all fascinating in their own way and the staff are absolutely delightful.

Had a great walk here, quite flat so nothing too strenuous and loads of animal/wildlife to see! It's massive too so loads to explore and see!

What an amazing reserve, fabulous walking trails with plenty of opportunities to stop and spot the birds. There are lots of benches en route to rest if necessary. There is no shop but there is a small cafe with outdoor seating. The lovely staff are on hand to help and advise.

Lovely area for walks and bird watching - most of the area is flat with exception to the slope back up to the car park depending which way you walk. There is a place to get tea and coffee and snacks and picnic benches to sit at and enjoy the view.

Went in the nesting season and the many lakes were teeming with birds, mainly terns but cormorants, greylag geese and small reed dwelling birds too. It was noisy and busy! Lots of people enjoying the place, walking, running and photographing the wildlife.
