The post code takes you to the car park where there are various paths to walk around. We decided to follow the Coastal Path sign, diverting to a beach to have a short walk along it and then following it again for a while before turning back. On part of it it was just a narrow path with no views, but I am sure there would have been lovely views if we had carried on for longer.

Heard about this from the campaign to save it, what a treasure. Will be a firm favourite from now on

Lovely area. Woodlands which abut the strait separating Anglesey from Holy Island.
Although car park very busy quiet in the woodlands. Saw red squirrels at the feeding area.
On the sandy shore were curlews and oystercatchers.
Poignant pet cemetery in the woods.
Was horrified to learn that it is planned to develop this area into a holiday camp or more likely "executive" housing. Shows the disdain councillors and developers have for wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

Fantastic place. Well tended. Such a haven for nature and humans. Horrified to read that this wonderful place may be wrecked by developers. How can this be allowed?

Penrhos Nature Reserve is within walking distance of my home, so a regular destination for my family. My daughter has been visiting since she was in her pram and still loves to go. The red squirrels are always a highlight but even if we don't manage to see them, it's lovely to walk through the woods, spotting wild flowers, birds and insects. We regularly gather fallen leaves in autumn for crafts. Hide and seek is a must and if you are lucky, you may even find some painted rocks. A walk through the woods inevitably leads to the beach, where sandcastles can be built and messages written in the sand.

This reserve is a wonderful oasis of tranquility, which has been enjoyed by generations of locals and by the many visitors who come to this area. Sadly, it is currently under threat of destruction by developers, who want to close most of it off to the locals in order to rip trees out and replace them with a holiday complex. The fact that it is home to so many protected species seems to be irrelevant. Shame on you, #Land and Lakes, #Bluestone Wales!

If you have not yet visited Penrhos, I would urge you to do so, before the money-grabbers destroy it forever!

Took the dog and family for a coastal wood walk around the country park. It was a good walk with well maintained paths and all finished off with a Red Squirrel

Lovely to see the Park open once again to the public. Plenty of parking spaces. Lovely coastal walks. Was disappointed to learn that Petes burger van is no longer allowed on site. Shame on you Land & Lakes for removing this great access to the park by not allowing them on the pitch. They will be missed by both locals & holiday makers alike as the food was freshly cooked & tasty. Let’s hope they see sense and review this arrangement ASAP.

Penrhos beach, coastal path & country park (the latter closed at the moment) the best walk ever for me & my dog. Beautiful scenery, sand, wildlife, beaches, crystal clear sea. Love it
