Shocking when attending a festival show and you arrive early you are seated in the front/rear balcony seats 1st then they fill the floor/stalls so if you arrive late you get a front row seat …. how is that fair? Absolutely shocking spoke to usher and they said it was to manage crowd control total rubbish service. I live in the city & this type of service reflects badly on our beautiful city. Shame on you for providing this kind of service very poor and I won’t BACK

Here for Elvis by Candlelight and had little to complain about it. Our seats were on the lower balcony, which gave us a great view of the stage. The building itself is a maze of stairs and corridors, but the ushers and stewards were quick to help. Good sized bar area for pre or mid show drinks. First show at this venue. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Cleaning was to a good standard if not beyond! staff were lovely too! Was a good experience for first time visit happy to come again

Lovely venue and friendly service but rather disappointing lunch menu. I feel the emphasis is all kinds of afternoon teas, which look amazing but we were hoping for a light lunch which has been available before. The choices were so limited this time. I chose the fishcakes served with tomato, little gem and fries. I asked for a dressed salad in place of fries. The waitress informed me it was served with salad and fries included. The presentation was woeful literally little gem leaves and warmed halves of tomatoes, homemade fishcakes, dash sauce and fries in a pot. I really felt it was not 'dressed salad' and fries I did not want. For the cost I expected better.

Booked a 2-1 Fringe 2023 show for four people only to end up with two full price tickets !
Apparently I had mistakenly asked for 2 different types of 2 for 1 tickets instead of 4.
When asking for 4 tickets it came up with the full price, so i adjusted it to 2 tickets to get the correct 2 for 1 total price.
Now the assembly rooms say their terms and conditions allow no flexibility to correct this to four tickets or refund my booking.Basically its my own stupid fault!
Not impressed to say the least and i think this is most probably a common mistake that happens a lot on the 2-1 fringe days that they are more than happy not to correct. Its financially to their advantage not to do so!
This was a gift for may parents 70th and I was also taking along my young son. Not now unfortunately as i cant afford the extra tickets!
Poor Show Assembly Halls...... THIS WILL BE MY FIRST AND LAST VISIT TO YOUR VENUE !!!!!!😤😤😤

Very comfortable conference facilities and seating
Sound systems were very good
Vision of speakers on stage was excellent
Catering and displace of industrial products were well laid out
Overall good business meeting venue close to many attractions busy stations and trains

I've visited the Assembly Rooms on a number of occasions with my most recent one being for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It's a great venue which lends itself to various events. I've also attended ceilidhs and political talks in the run up to the 2014 referendum at the Assembly Rooms. They're a bit of an Edinburgh institution and definitely worth a visit.

I attended an international conference (IFRRO World Congress) in this venue last week. Great venue with fantastic facilities.
Main halls allocated for plenary meetings/sessions, tea breaks, and evening receptions were very well arranged and was equipped. Smaller rooms for side meetings were equally good.
It was quite close to the good hotels where attendees could stay in with a few minutes walking distance.
