El puerto es pequeño, pero se ve la playa de east sands, y por el otro lado la catedral y él castillo, fotos muy bonitas. Recomendable

A fishing harbour is mentioned here as early as 1222 - so there’s a long maritime history connected to this area. In medieval times this influential port traded mainly with the Low countries, and may have berthed up to 300 vessels. Much of the harbour was rebuilt in the 18th century, and the pier that extends into the North Sea is some 880 ft long, with the walkway being up to 12 ft wide. ( This is where the students of the University of St. Andrews take part in the traditional St. Andrews Pier Walk.)
Definitely worth a visit to soak up the maritime charm , and look at all the fishing boats bobbing about with the pleasure crafts. Quite a few youngsters fishing in the Kinness Burn section - watched by beady-eyed seagulls. There’s a harbour cafe, and toilets nearby on The Pends.

Well maintained, working harbour with fresh breezes off the sea! A great walk along the shore and views over harbour and the Castle.

Luvly area. East sands beach. Njoy a Nice walk out the harbour wall. Fishing boats, and a small marina area, beautiful views. A very popular wee cafe at bridge. A cheesy toast shack at children's play area with picnic tables. Something for everyone young and old. Worth a visit :) :)

Lovely stroll along the jetty to the end and up the rusty ladder for a sea view across to Carnoustie. Not a health and safety sign in sight. Fantastic.

Walking the short distance from the Cathedral to the cliff top walkway brought us down to this harbour. Picturesque and a very busy bustling scene, so a popular site. Especially on a sunny day with an ice cream van parked at the harbour side. Well worth searching out.

Although not the busiest or prettiest of harbours, the one in St Andrews is nice enough and worth a visit. It’s a short stroll down from the cathedral and if you are lucky you might see some of the working boats land their catch.
Other than that, you can stroll along the harbour wall or cross the wee bridge to the pretty grassy area above East Sands beach.
And there’s a good cafe as well!

This working harbour is tidal, when the tide is in the fishing boats can come and go.
It is full of character, with small local fishing boats and many lobster pots , we watched a small fishing boat berth and saw the lobsters and crabs being unloaded. It is full of character and not far from the town centre

Not the bonniest of harbours but a wee working harbour for local fishermen and lobster fisherman.
Worth walking down to look at though as walking out to the point gives you great views to the west and east.
Nice wee cafe as you walk towards the east sands.

Had a wander to the harbour area on a sunny day. Tide was out but still luvly. A few boats in the area. Nice wee cafe at the bridge. Worth a visit
