I had an amazing two-day Covenanter Reformation tour with Jimmy Fisher as my guide for an afternoon in Edinburgh and Jimmy and his wife Helen for a 2nd day of touring to key historical Covenanter sites throughout Ayrshire. I'm so thankful I booked both tours! Jimmy is knowledgable, articulate, succinct, and never boring. He speaks from his heart and from a passion and conviction that the legacy of the Covenanters must be remembered and honored in each generation as we learn from their example of steadfast courage and faith in the midst of horrific opposition.
On the 2nd day, traveling with Jimmy and Helen through the Ayrshire countryside was a lovely time of getting acquainted as they went out of their way to ensure I saw and learned about as many key historical Covenanter sites as possible, including special sites that concern my own family Covenanter heritage. Two very special unforgettable days of touring Edinburgh with Jimmy and then Jimmy and Helen in Ayrshire. I so enjoyed getting acquainted with them. And what I learned and experienced those two days -- it was worth every penny.

We had a blessed time of learning about the Scottish Reformers and Covenanters on 24th Mar 2023 in Edinburgh and 27th Mar 2023 in St Andrews. Jimmy brought us to many historical locations and explained what the faithful reformers and covenanters did to bring about the Protestant reformed teachings in the land of Scotland and defended the God's word even at the stake. Jimmy is passionate about the history as his descendant is a Covenanter. He loves the Lord, he and his wife (Helen) runs the tour as a ministry. Scotland is blessed to have faithful and reformed church leaders and covenanters who loves the Lord.

Jimmy is the best tour guide telling the stories of Scottish Covenanters in a way that leaves you feeling like you know those who died long ago for the faith. He and Helen make sure you are comfortable and have your needs met, including dietary restrictions when applicable. If you want to know more about the Scottish reformation and experience where it all happened, this is the absolute best way to do it!

Excellent tour! Jimmy was a wonderful guide and gave us such a clear overview of the Scottish reformation. He was knowledgeable and engaging. If you’re a person of faith looking to learn more about the church history of Scotland, you must do this tour! It was so impactful to hear about those who were martyred for their faith.
Jimmy also gave us some other facts about Edinburgh and Scottish history itself which was super interesting. Absolutely recommend this tour!

My husband wanted to research his family history especially related to the Covenanter and Reformation connections in his lineage. Not only were Jimmy and Helen warm, personable, thoughtful, generous, flexible and kind, but they went literally many “extra miles” to find out of the way monuments, graves, and other historical places that connected some dots for John. (They even stopped at a couple of re-sale shops for me!)
Their knowledge, experience and attention to detail is thorough and interesting, not only about the Reformation, but also about Scottish/Irish current history, customs and culture. Jimmy shared so many stories of Covenanter heroes that made the names on a plaque come to life for us!
We highly recommend these two delightful people!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed a walking tour in Edinburgh with Jimmy. Jimmy knows the histories of the first and second Scottish reformations by heart, tells their tales passionately, and expertly weaves in sites and artifacts that confirm and bring to life his narrative.
Jimmy also evidences the Lord’s transforming grace in how he cares for others on the tour. Jimmy let us know that he and his wife Helen had been praying for us and our trip before our tour, which was such a kind encouragement. He was also greatly interested in getting to know us, and even pointed us to several non-Reformation-related sites based on our conversations as we walked.
We highly recommend a tour with Jimmy—and we hope to participate in another when visit Scotland again!

We had the BEST walking tour with Rev. Stephen McCollum! Our Edinburgh experience was made more meaningful and enabled us to find the things we would enjoy most for the rest of our time in the city.

Working with Jimmy and Helen Fisher of Reformation Tours was simply wonderful! It was very easy to work with Helen to set up all the many things that we wanted to see and do on the west coast of Scotland. Then Jimmy took us (group of 12) on a day tour with a wealth of knowledge! I even wanted to see my ancient clan castle ruins in a remote area of the forest and Jimmy was able to find it, take us to it and tell us all about the history! They are extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. Book your next Scotland adventure with them!

We recently had an amazing walking tour through Edinburgh with Jimmy. His knowledge of Scottish Reformation history was vast, and he made it come alive to us. We spent several hours with Jimmy, and it felt like no time at all because he was considerate of our need to rest periodically. He kept us interested the whole time, and long before the tour was ended, we felt more like friends than clients. Take this tour if you are interested in reformation history, and you will not be at all disappointed. This was our favorite day in Edinburgh, and we cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

Dear Brethren, My wife and I are scheduled to tour Great Britain from 28 Sept - 8 Oct 2019. We have never been on such a tour and intentionally planned on an extra day at each end (one in London, one in Edinburgh. We are traveling with Dr. Albert Mohler and will see many things over the previous 10 days, but would like a day (half or whole) tour of Scottish Reformation sites around Edinburgh or St. Andrews on Oct 8. Our group leaves that morning, and we have a room booked overnight at the Intercontinental Principal George St. so our whole day if free. Is it too late or could we book a tour with you. I am a reformed Baptist pastor (25 years) of a small church in eastern Virginia, and my wife and I are celebrating our 50th year of marriage. Please let me know if we can book you.
