I have been riding at this yard for three years and I have to say it’s the best yard I have ever been to. The yard staff and instructors are so nice and trustworthy and the lesson horses are so kind and honest and bombproof. I have learned so much from all of the instructors that have taught me and they somehow gave the confidence to jump my first 70cm this year. Honestly would recommend great for all levels of riding!

Took my 9 year old daughter on her 1st riding lesson ever,while we where near by on holiday. The staff where lovely and made her feel so comfortable,and us. We even had another lesson before heading home a few days later.

My 3 children adored this in 2019. They had excellent tuition and the final day where they showed their acquired skills in a show was a delight. I hope they will run it again when the next two will be old enough to go.

My two boys 8 & 11 have always wanted to do Horse riding. Their debut 30 mins on a horse was first class. The instructor Jean had the boy's solid attention for 30 minutes which in itself was amazing. The horses were also very placid so the boy's felt very safe with them for their first outing. The boy's are now wanting to take up horse riding lessons and also go back here for another lesson before we return home from holiday. If it was local to us then I would be signing my kids up here for lessons. Fully recommend this place.

I have been coming to Ayr Equestrian for just over a year now, the riding school ponies are fab and so are the instructors. They teach you properly and make sure you’re completely safe and comfortable while on the horse, I recommend Jennifer, as she has pushed me from a really unconfident rider to quite a good one actually! And I’m planning to do my first show next year at Ayr Equestrian. This is definitely the best yard in Ayr.

My daughter has been attending this riding centre for sometime now and her riding skills have improved no end.
She attended many other similar businesses in the past but this by far has been the best to date.
The instructors immediately picked up in bad habits and incorrect teaching she'd had in the past and have worked hard to eliminate them and successfully make her a safe rider.
I highly recommend this establishment and instructors in particular Cara who is very thorough with her communication, safety and practical instruction

I have been taking my children here for private lessons whenever we visit their grandparents in Alloway and they really love it. The standard of teaching is fantastic. The girls are very patient and ensure my children are having fun as well as learning which can be tricky because they are not there every week. I don’t know if they look forward more to seeing granny & grandad or the horses! The stables themselves are immaculate and I would recommend it for livery as the horses look amazingly well cared for. We are looking forward to visiting again in the summer.

My Daughter Abby had a private jumping lesson with Kat today , as before a great standard of instruction ..booked again for next week !!Great Stables, beautiful horses and Pups !! ..can't recommend highly enough ....

I had always wanted to learn to ride and was gifted riding lessons at Ayr Equitation in May. I have been attending every week, without fail, ever since. I'm addicted!
I had literally never been on a horse before and have had lessons from both Cara and Kirsten. They are so patient and understanding which puts you at ease and allows you to focus on your lesson.
My lesson is normally on a Friday as a treat to myself for a hard weeks' work and Cara is my usual instructor. It's great having the same instructor for most lessons as this allows them to know you and your riding and plan how to help you improve. Cara is excellent at explaining things to me and at pushing me to achieve the most from each lesson.
The facilities include both a fully lit indoor arena and a fully lit, well kept, outdoor. This allows for me to continue my lessons even in the darker nights and awful weather in the winter months. No need to wait for spring or try squash in a lesson at weekends when I'm rushed as is. There is also plenty of great hacks about and they even offer a beach hack in the summer months (which I will definitely be doing!). The onsite shop is stocked with just about everything a rider or horse could need and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.
The horses used for lessons live a life of luxury and are very well trained. There are loads of different horses available and staff select the most suitable for your needs.
I have gone from having never sat on a horse to trotting, cantering and going over small jumps as well as working on dressage work and learning how to tack up a horse and care for them properly. All in the space of 7 months! It's great progress and my riding is coming on leaps and bounds.
I have such faith and trust in the instructors that I have even started letting my four year old son attend for lessons of his own. Again Cara and Kirsten are so patient with him and make it such fun, he's grinning from ear to ear the whole time.
I honestly can't say enough good things about the place and the people who work there. A well kept, professionally run hard with excellent facilities and happy, healthy, well trained horses.

Our horses live in total luxury here. The facilities are excellent. Horses are out every night in the fields for most of the year and kept clean and warm inside through the winter. The shop is very well stocked with some great bargains to be had. I have had lessons from Cara and Kirsten who will expertly push you hard in the school. My riding has really improved thanks to them. My horse is currently sporting his new winter clip from Carol and looks fantastic, while Caitlin and Lisa are always looking out for him and managing his health and diet. The expert support from all sides is outstanding and we would not be anywhere else.

Is there a store at the equestrian centre? Is this available to visit without riding? I never get chance to bring my big lump of a thoroubred a present back from my holidays but I might actually stand a chance

Is there a Clydesdale Horse Show in Ayr in May 2016? If so, what are the dates? I would like to see Clydesdales when I travel to Scotland next May. We will be in Scotland from May 21-May 31. Thank you.
