If you are looking for an amazing adventure through and around the West coast of Ireland, then Damian and Margaret are the guides for you!
From Howth to Wicklow county, we spent an amazing 4 days hiking with this lovely couple. Their historical and whimsical knowledge of the areas we hiked was refreshing and entertaining. Their attention to details was so helpful...from the stop for packed lunches to dropping us off at the hotel, they think of everything. From novice to expert, every level of hiking is met with this team. (They go at your pace)
If you are looking for an anonymous, jammed-packed-tour-bus kind of experience, then keep scrolling. But, if you are looking for a meaningful, authentic Irish hiking experience then THIS IS IT!
This is our second trip to Ireland using this dynamic duo and we cannot wait to get back to go for round three!!

Margaret and Damian Godwin picked us up from the Train Station in Howth. We stopped for sandwiches, packed it away, and started our trek through Howth, soaking up the sights, enjoying a pleasant hike with the company of even more pleasant folks--the Godwins truly have a gift and are the hidden gems of Ireland. I always felt comfortable, looked after, and had fun while hiking along the coast in Howth. They were careful to point out the secret trails that only a local hiker would know about. Their knowledge of the historical importance of the area was vast and enlightening.
Just the nicest people, and I can't wait to get back just to see them again! I highly recommend their expertise to any and all!

I went yesterday with Damian and Margaret hiking in Mourne Mountains and it was an exellent hike with amazing views. Accessible to everyone. Damian and Margaret are lovely persons and really interesting. They know a lot about the plants, the name of the mountains, the history of the site.
All was perfect. They pick you at home, give you some drinks and fruits if you forget. This time they had also their big baby dog with them and it was enjoyable to have his company too.
I totally recommend!

Had a fabulous day in the Mourne Mountains with Damian and Margaret. They had thought through the minutest detail and had everything ready from organic fruits to insulation jackets! From a bit of map reading to understanding the features, history and specialties of the place, it was quite the trip! I'm still smiling wide as Margaret would stop, wait and correct whenever I had the poncho the wrong way on :). Loved it and looking forward to the next one.

We had an amazing hike in Wicklow with Damien and cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I e-mailed him to inquire about a hike, he was friendly, informative, and professional. Damien arranged everything...a convenient pick-up point, stopping for food along the drive, brought extra snacks for us, bathroom breaks, etc. It was great to get out of the city for a day and enjoy time in the stunning countryside of Ireland. Damien was an amazing guide whose historical knowledge is abundant. His fun and friendly demeanor made it a really enjoyable day for my wife and I, who try to incorporate hiking into all of our travels. He was always offering to take photos for us which was very appreciated! I would highly recommend booking a hike with them as a great way to get out of Dublin and see more of the countryside! Our only regret is waiting so long to write a review (sorry Damien!)

Há duas semanas recebi a visita da minha mãe, irmã e minha prima em Dublin, então decidi fazer o tour com Hiking Ireland. Fomos para Glendalough e Cliff of Moher com Damien e Margareth.
Sem palavras para descrever a atencão e dedicação com que eles trataram a todos. O que mais me surpreendeu foi a forma como eles agiram durante todo o dia, nos levaram aos lugares, mostraram curiosidades e passaram o tempo conosco como se fôssemos uma única família.
Ver minha família sendo tratada com tanto carinho foi maravihoso. Eles tambem adaptaram o passeio para tentar suprir as expectativas de todos que estavam ali. Muito obrigada aos dois por acrescentar algo ainda melhor a experiência que vivemos aqui.
Estou muito feliz com o resultado e com certeza farei outros tours com voces, especialmente quando tiver grandes grupos.

Last Saturday Damien and Margaret brought us out to the Stairway to Heaven in Fermanagh. We had a brilliant day, a fabulous experience...from the start until the end. Damien and Margaret are such experienced hikers and really nice people. We had great chats in the car and on the hike.

We had a wonderful hike with Damien and Margaret. They are very knowledgeable about hiking in Ireland and beyond and we enjoyed our day with them. It was an excellent mix of hiking and local historical interest. We would definitely plan another hike with them as well as recommend them to our friends. Thanks for a memorable day!

Damian and Margaret made our hike through Glendalough a wonderful experience! It was like being with friends who happened to be experts in hiking in Ireland. They picked us up near our hotel, even had snacks and water on hand in addition to stopping to take us to get food for the trip. They planned it perfectly so we were comfortable but engaged (even the expert hikers in our group). We hope to return to Ireland to hike with them again!

We can't recommend Margaret and Damian enough. They're outstanding at leading hikes; they are extensively knowledgeable about the region as well as all things Ireland. They paced/planned the hike perfectly so it was challenging but not too hard, and had wonderful views throughout. Definitely the high light of our Ireland trip.

Hi, are there any afternoon hikes? Sadly I might only be in Ireland for an afternoon before having to fly out the next morning. I love hiking so any possibility of being able to hike and explore the beauty of Ireland makes me excited.
