We had the most amazing two nights at the Wild Boar Park. We were a group of 10 staying in one of the lodges and safari tents. Both are fab - the lodge was lovely and done to a very high standard and the safari tent gives you that outdoor/Jurassic Park style experience! (Minus the dinosaurs!)
Our group were all aged 30+ and we got involved in everything the Park had to offer - a tractor ride with the infamous "big hat Dave", feeding the goats and llamas, holding some baby chicks, looking at all the animals (there are loads), visiting the bubble lady and eating a lovely breaky in the cafe. There are loads of things to do and you can spend the whole day or weekend there!
There is nothing else like this in the surrounding area and the setting being in the Forest of Bowland is simply beautiful. Well worth a visit to both the Wild Boar Park and Bowland Escapes if you want to make a full weekend of it.

Superb place and very reasonable prices - just £10 for adults.
So many different animals to see - my favourites were the goats. You can enter their enclosure at set times and feed them (bags of animal feed only £1). They don't bite at all when they take food out of your hand, they just nuzzle and a few of them clearly enjoyed being stroked too. A couple of the cheekier ones had a nibble at my jeans and shoe laces!
In the education centre we held some baby chicks that had only hatched two days previously, and also a very docile corn snake. The staff in the education centre were really friendly and very knowledgeable.
The falconry session was well attended and very entertaining, the guy running it was great. Afterwards you were able to have the birds perch on your arm - wearing a very thick glove so no claws marks!
You can have a ride in a trailer pulled by a tractor that takes you up the hill to more animals, well worth a ride.
Only suggestion for improvement is the place is a little hard to find, my sat nav didn't recognise the post code so a couple more signs on the local roads would help. From the village of Chipping it's signposted though.

The satnav wouldnt except the postcode to the park?. Is this my satnav or are you aware of this ?. Anyhow, We directed the satnav to Chipping and would rely on signage to get us there—big mistake. As we approached Chipping there was but 1 small sign which wasn't sufficient as we went around the beaten track for half an hour!. Luckily, My dad pulled up somewhere got a signal on his phone and used Google Maps to reach the park. As soon as we arrived we were pressured to pay for rides and animal feed as the entry fee is just that, gets you in. The grounds are very lovely and the scenery obviously as being in the middle of the forest of Bowland however; we never went to the indoor play barn as it didn't look very appealing and there was a man at a desk there who looked as if he was trying to sign people up to something ?. There were no feeding times posted, nothing advertised and I felt this let the farm down considerably. All my son wanted to do was ride on the go-carts at £1 a minute or two all the time and there wasn't a lot to engage him. The reptile room or education centre was the only bit of engagement that we had between the staff and the animals and we held a chick, but I'd expect more from a park that charges £10 per person to bring it in line with other farms in the area. I thought the park didn't offer value for money and was very difficult to find because of the lack of signs.

We had an amazing stay at the lodge last weekend! It had everything you could want and felt really luxurious. Honestly nicer than my own flat! If you’re not a camping fan but want to be surrounded by nature, this is the place for you. The park itself is home to lots of amazing animals, some of which you can feed if you want to. There is also a brilliant tractor ride tour you can do, where we got to see lots more animals that live at the park and learnt some fun facts along the way too. The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable and we couldn’t have had a better weekend. Highly recommend!

Had a really good day here, arrived mid morning and it was easy to park, we hired a powered off road scooter for one of our party so they were able to get around the park for just £5. The cafe was good (service a little slow) great view of the small lake and bird feeders across to the wild boars. Education centre was nice with one hour old chicks to view and hold, then there were tanks with lizards and land snails and spiders! Outside were meerkats with babies which were very sweet. On the walks we saw many animals including Goats, Sheep, Emu Geese,, Deer and Pigs, most of the animals you can feed with food bought at the shop on entry. There is a lovely walk near the pigs with views across the river which is stunning. There is an area where you can walk inside and stroke the pygmy goats There are plenty of spots to have a picnic and a great kids play park with Zip wire. There were a couple of odd things, mini tanks £4 for 4 minutes) that seemed expensive, sand diggers £1 for about a.minute, just a bit too short a time for most children. By the cafe is a separate ice cream shop, selling really good ice-cream in tubs or cones. There is a little shop where you can buy toys, souvenirs, gifts etc but you can also buy sausages and meat! Definitely worth visiting.

Went Thursday. Bit hard to find. £10 each to get in. Great for kids. I would go again. Goat enclosure was nice, you can go in and touch the goats. Our child held a baby chick, that was cute. Tractor ride was good, £2 each. Lots for kids to do. Highly recommended. Parking free. Ice cream £2.50, lots of flavours.

Have been visiting here for around 10 years with my sons, usually a couple of times a year however, as they are now getting older, our visit yesterday was the first visit in a couple of years. What can I say, wow! There have been brilliant improvements, the tractor ride (£2 per person) is well worth the money, great little trip and lasts much longer than expected! Also paid additional for the tank driving for my son (it is heigh restricted though so this is for older/taller children), that is absolutely brilliant fun!
Good range of animals, many of which you can feed (£1 for a bag of animal feed). The education centre is also interesting with lots of other smaller animals/insects.
We didn’t book for the barrel rides, but the children on there seemed to be having great fun.
The play area is a good size with a range of things on it.
Overall, a brilliant farm park with lots of different activities which everyone can enjoy.

It’s not flat, but I believe they have an electric scooter type thing for use, or hire which may make things easier.

Hi
Thank you for your review I found it really helpful as I am thinking of taking my 17 month old daughter to the wild boar park this weekend but worried she may be to young to enjoy the full facilities, would you still recommend we go even if just to see the animals and possibly ride the tractor if she isn't to small?
Thanks

sorry had i have not seen your question sooner. possibly 18 month she is maybe a little young perhaps. I would perhaps suggest waiting until next year as it would probably be much better visting when weather is reasonable as well. Hopefully they might have sorted parts of the play are by then
