I would love to hear from Kevin L. and anyone who has taken small-group tours with both Bordovino and popular competitors such as Ophorus, and can compare them. Looking at their half-day tours of Medoc, I notice there's a significant price difference (€94 pp. at Bordovino vs. €65 pp. at Ophorus) and I was wondering why. A quick look at their websites and the TripAdvisor reviews suggests the possibility of slightly better-quality chateaux and smaller-sized groups at Bordolino (both of which are important to me), but there may be other factors I can't see. I'm sure there are knowledgeable guides and friendly hosts on all the tours, but I've also noticed some common limitations, such as wine tastings consisting of only two samples. From a learning-experience standpoint, I not only want to compare each chateau's first and second wines (or more, if available) but different vintages of the same first wine and possibly the wines of other vineyards (which I understand is possible if one company owns other vineyards in the same region or appellation. Has anybody out there achieved all this without spending a fortune on multiple private tours?
Hola! 🍇🍷👍🏻🙌🏻🍇🍷😋 ... The Bordovino group was 7. Our guide Adele was out of this world knowledgeable about
Wine and the area, we Q&A’d all day as we drove between chateaux’s, St. E., and Bordeaux. Phenomenally educational, fun, and memorable. HIGHLY recommend! Jim D. FL
