We have visited Moselle River at various locations in Germany in the past. On our recent visit to Luxembourg we went to the town of Wasserbillig on the German/Luxembourg boundary, it is where the Moselle runs along the border of Luxembourg and Germany and also where the Sûre River flows into the Moselle. We were intending to travel by ferry across the river to Oberbillig in Germany however the ferries were running at restricted times so we didn't get the chance to use it. This is very scenic area of Luxembourg and also a perfect place to get beautiful views of Moselle River.

Our river Rhine River cruise included a section of the Mosel River that is a UNESCO protected site. We had a beautiful sunny day when we cruised the Mosel on GCCL's River Harmony ship. It was a little chilly, though! We saw multiple castles and vineyards, and it was completely lovely. This little side trip is definitely recommended. The Mosel is a slower moving and smaller river. It is a visual smorgasbord of delights!

Was by far the better part of the Rhine/Moselle cruise. So picturesque and very clean. Only downside was that one of the city tour trains did not have the commentary as an english option. Would recommend.

Do not book the bike & barge tour on the Mosel/Saar river on the Zwaan boat...it was infested with BED BUGS!!! I had over 50 bites that were nearly unbearable! There are other larger boats that may be a little more money but worth saving your health and the hassle of ridding the bed bugs while on vacation. Otherwise, the Mosel river was beautiful!

Had a wonderful day out on the passenger ship Saarstern with beautiful views along the way.

We are just back from a AMA River Cruise on the Moselle and Rhine. The Moselle by far was the most beautiful. The towns and villages were lovely, lots of see and wonderful food and wine.

Just returned home from our second cruise on the MV Virginia, booked through Shearings. What a fantastic way to see one of the most beautiful parts of Europe cruising along the Rhine and Moselle (Rhein and Mosel). The ship is fairly old but extremely comfortable, and the crew are friendly and helpful.
Highlights of the cruise were visits to Cologne, Koblenz, Traben-Trarbach , Reichsburg Castle, Cochem and day trips to Bernkastel-Kues, and Beilstein.
We would highly recommend this type of relaxing holiday, sit back and let your hotel do the traveling! Great support from Shearings staff, cruise manager Ken and driver Trevor.

We have done the Rhine-Mosel cruise on the Amadeus Royal last fall and we have enjoyed every minute of it ! We have driven along the Mosel for 10 days in 2017 and we had seen a lot of beautiful sights but seeing it from the river had quite a different perspective and enabled us to see things that we would otherwise have missed !

We felt all they were interested in is taking your money re tours and Gratuities. Don’t get me wrong, Amalia,George,Mariela and the waiters were excellent. But Lee was a total waste of space, he’s lazy and lies a lot, it looks like he’s been doing the job to long and complaisant with his position. We found our own way round when stopping at moorings for less than a third of there prices.
The room was very pleasant and cleaned every day.
For the cost it wasn’t worth it. Others who were on board that have been with other companies stated that this Cruise overall was the worst.

Looking for the name of a castle along Mosel river that is also an hotel/restaurant (used to be in 2005). One of its table is inside the castle tower.

I am looking for a tasty restaurant around Beilstein or Bremm that offers a beautiful view of the river while you dine. I saw a photo on Calmont Region's website of some people dining high above the river, but can't find the name of the restaurant noted anywhere. Any recommendations for tasty restaurants with lovely views?
